Just saw this today...WoW....yeah the acting wasn't all that good imo, the action sequences were way over the top, but I loved this movie. Was totally blown away by the ending.

Read the comic, it beats the movie to death

Didn't even know there was a comic. :)

Who wrote the comic?

EDIT: Nvm..found it :)

The movie did a good job of getting me pumped, but the comic is profound and brilliant.

Went to see this tonight and really didn't like it too much. The visual trickery was great, but I couldn't help thinking that they took a comic I thought was pretty good and turned it into a bad Matrix ripoff (at least the first half). The fact that they took this comic property and ravaged it for it's name and very few plot strands leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Why bother getting the rights to the book at all? The fact is, that the original material would be like Kryptonite for mainstream commercial success, so they exploited the name and some basic ideas. It has none of the morally challenging material of the book, and I kind of thought that was the whole point of the thing. I'd like to see this director get his hands on some good original material. I found that the Nightwatch / Daywatch films lost something in translation for me.

Meh...shooting wings off of a fly and curving the bullets really lost it for me. I thought this was supposed to be at least moderately based in reality? Instead the characters are doing something that no one can possibly do. Yet they are supposed to be normal people. Super assasins yes, but more normal than other movies that take liberties (like the Matrix for instance).

Hey did anyone catch if they provided a reason on why they can curve a bullet? I know it's just an effect, but I just wondered if they ever gave a reason other than they are just that good a killing people.

Have you watched Day Watch or Night Watch, by the same director? I haven't seen Wanted, but I watched those and really liked the effects from them. They're Russian which is a bit of a downside.

Their reason wasn't really a reason why...just that people were taught wrongly that you couldn't.

I enjoyed the movie, and then read the comic/book/trade...and was like "wtf, why'd they even call it Wanted if they changed so much?"
