So today I turned on my PC only to find that the Firefox icon was missing from my desktop and my Start list. In it's place was the default internet icon, a Globe. But when I right clicked the globe it said Firefox Options. So I clicked that and it gave me a choose program window.
So I went to Add and Remove Programs and Mozilla Firefox was there, but it's icon had been replaces by a blue circular arrow and it would not let me remove the program.
So I tried Search. But the Search box didn't even come up. My little helper dog did, who I clicked several times, but no text boxes to enter my search criteria.
So then I tried run and I typed in firefox.exe. My computer couldn't find it.
So then I went on Firefox's site to redownload it. All the text on the site showed except for the download link. I tried a third party download, from download.com, some fan sites, and a Google based download site. Once again, all the text on these sites was visible, excluding any download links.
This has to be a virus. Has to. Because I'm am literally being blocked from Firefox.
Someone please please help. IE is effing painful.
Thanks buds.
