Okay, maybe not a problem... but an inconvenience.

I am running Vista Ultimate 64-bit. I have 4GB DDR2-800 ram (2 x 2GB) and am running on an eVGA nForce 780i SLI motherboard. The Windows system properties shows I have 4.00 GB ram, but when I go to the Performance tab in Task Manager, it shows I only have 2813MB. Any ideas?

SOLVED

If you are encountering this problem in Vista 64-bit, try this to fix it:

1. Go to your start menu and type msconfig in the Start Search and hit Enter
2. Go to the Boot tab, select Windows Vista in the list, and click Advanced options...
3. Make sure Maximum memory is unchecked
4. Restart your computer.

If this doesn't work, try this:

1. Go to your start menu and type cmd in the Start Search and hit Enter
2. Type: bcdedit /SET PAE ForceEnable
3. Restart your computer.
