I am not an X-men expert at all in fact I know very little but this seems just like a money making scheme to me. Instead of putting out let's say four quality books rich with story it seems like they would rather put out all this mediocre stuff and depend on the X-men nuts like Ron to buy it all.
If I am wrong and these are all good or mostly good I would like to know because I enjoy the movies and characters but I haven't read the stories.

Wait. Just a little confused. Who said you needed to buy all those titles to know what's going on in X-men? Worlds apart / original sin are just minis. Manifest destiny is more of a theme (unless you want to buy the short story one shots) and AXM is just the normal AXM story. I could be wrong, but I don't think you'll need to read all the books you mentioned to understand what's going on with the top 4.

if thats true, and it could be, i would be more than happy to read them
My impression of things is a lot of those "crossovers" are going to be like Divided We Stand in that they're all branded the same but aren't really crossovers.
At least in terms of Manifest Destiny, I haven't even heard about those other things

Are any of these things really even crossovers? If I have a complaint about current X-men continuity, in fact, it's that it doesn't intersect enough. I'm reading Astonishing, Uncanny, Legacy, Cable, and X-Factor but I feel like I could be reading any one of those books and skipping the others. I'm not reading Young X-men or X-Force and so far it doesn't really affect anything.
Other than the move to San Francisco -- which was handled to my satisfaction with a few lines of exposition in Astonishing -- I don't think anything since 'Messiah Complex' has even affected other books. I'll check out some of the upcoming minis, if I like the creative teams, but I haven't had any reason to think that I *need* to be reading any of these books to get the others.
