Just started watching now, and re the Quebecois not speaking French: my french-speaking province mates speak a mish-mash of french and english (although mostly french) with an almost entirely different set of slang and expressions because they split apart from France almost 400 years ago and things have evolved differently.

Hope you had a good time in Montreal! It's too bad you didn't get "real" poutine, although it sounds like Casey doesn't really know real poutine :)

Also: Just say Saint in english not Sawn re: Saint Denis, good job on Denis though, that statue is awesome

With MS Windows XP and prior windows versions, you can in most cases replace a cpu/motherboard, then reboot in the safe mode. Once you are in the safe mode you can update/install drivers as necessary. Reboot and all should be fine.. There is no need to reinstall a system from scratch unless it was hosed to begin with. Running a registry cleaner is a good idea though after loading all the new drivers. This has save me a boatload of time not have to re-install all my settings and setups. I had a client who did not have the original cd available and using a safe mode driver install saved the day. I have not tried this with messyvista though. We only use linux now.

For those who don't have a Boxee invite, there is another XBMC based media center for mac called Plex (http://elan.plexapp.com/) (formerly OSXBMC). It also works with the Apple Remote. I have had some remote problems problems in the past, but haven't had any since the latest update. I use it on my Mac Mini and It plays every type of video and audio I throw at it (minus DRM).

Veronica want to know something scary.
Even though I have a fairly deep voice I can imitate that voice you did in the bloopers quite easy....I used to always scare my co workers with it till they banned me from using it.
no worries I just started doing one of many of my other character voices.

Fun to scare them like that.:p

Dunno what's breaking smc on your MBP, but another one you can try is FanControl (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/23137/fan-control). I don't use either anymore since my 'Book mostly sits on an MStand (http://www.raindesigninc.com/mstand.html) (which I link to because they mentioned the Griffin one on the show, and this one matches Apple displays better for those of us who were dumb enough not to just buy the Dell LCD instead), but it looks like they've kept it updated, and it was basically the same thing.

Even though I have a fairly deep voice I can imitate that voice you did in the bloopers quite easy....

Me too, but unfortunately I did it in 17th century New England, and was burned at the stake. I'm reasonably sure that actually happened.

And again I say there has to be something "extra" in Veronica's can of cola... :)

Great Tekzilla episode! Just my two cents about keeping your lap/laptop cool. This may seem really cheap of me, but I find that when I'm sitting at my desk, using a kitchen cooling rack to place my laptop on helps a lot! I haven't tried it while sitting with the laptop in my lap, but I will.

I was always good at voices but that one I trained myself for since I was just 'dropping' shall we say since then I did it to talk to pets or annoy my dad with it.

eventually did it so much it became natural to just switch in and out of voices.

In regards to keeping your lap cool with a notebook I've been using one of these http://gallery.me.com/davidrobinsonfs#100068 its got a bean bag on the bottom and the tray itself is wood. £7 here in the UK from Robert Dyers and of course they sell a pink version as well...
