I've been keeping tabs on this for a little while now and it's...interesting. It's not bad and I wanted find out from the crew if anyone has been checking it out. It's kind of a Mad Max meets Waterworld...check it out here. (http://www.freakangels.com/)

Yeah I've been reading it from the get-go, every once in a while I pimp it here, and noone responds so I figured I was the only one.

I'm really enjoying it, and not just in the "I love all things Ellis" way I expected, I like the art alot too.

Plus I just sort of respect the two of them for doing it you know? In the same way I respect the intention behind Fell. It seems Ellis is genuinely working on new ways to reach comic readers. Don't know if it's working but at least he's trying.

From what I understand they're releasing a trade soon, so it must be doing something. The art kind of reminded me of the old Aeon Flux cartoons and I like the idea of a post apocalyptic London. I haven't heard any mention of it anywhere and I'm glad someone else has actually heard of it.

Yeah it's cool.

Also a big chunk of comic every week unlike most webcomics, another plus.

Seriously...and I love the little commentaries he does here and there. Have you read the latest "issue"? It hinted at something that could happen that I really hope he follows through on.

I read the first few "issues" (or entries, whatever) and I didn't find it worth my time

The first few issues make them out to be a group of emo kids or something but it gets a lot better. There isn't much of a backstory and you're just kind of thrown right into it leaving you to try and figure out what the crap is going on. It gets better, though, just give it a chance.

6,500 + posts here and you can't find time to read 6 pages of 4 panels a week.

hurm.

your time must be precious.

@denmmurray Just read the latest one now, pretty gory stuff :)

You're hoping for the Freak Angels to go blow up some heads I take it?

Yes...yes I am. But at the same time they're written like they're unstoppable and I want to see the stakes raised...I understand we're getting to know these characters and barely starting to get a feel for the world but I'm ready to get out of their world and see what else is outside of London.

At this point what do we know? Not much eh?

Did the FA's cause this strange new world? We're they simply forced to stake a territory as they we're being hunted?

THere's still the mysterious "other" Freak (matt?) he must be up to no good, some sort of amassing of malicious intent. Perhaps this recent strike was part 2 of his plan with uhhhh what's her face's attack being stage one (from way back).

Lots more story to be told here. It's exciting.

Supposedly, yes the FA's caused London to become that way. Little things here and there get mentioned about how they protect the people yet the people don't know what the FA's did, stuff like that.
