Anyone hear the fake "leak"? What'd you think?

Going to one of his shows this fall?

Just would like to know if Ben Folds is another common ground among TRS fans.

I haven't really heard much of his stuff, anyway, though. I'd probably like it.

I am legally required to like Ben Folds because he wrote a song about my hometown. But that's okay because he's pretty good. He played a live set with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra backing him, it was awesome.

I used to be a huge Ben Folds Five fan. Saw them perform at a concert in Philly. It was a double billing with them and Jurassic 5. One of the best concerts I've ever been too.
I haven't really followed Ben since the group parted ways. I've only bought a few of his songs since then.

What's the deal with a "Leak"? This is the first I've heard about it.

Heh. Ben Folds lives around the corner from my brother, here in Nashville. It was weird as hell to be sitting on the porch and see him go walking by.

I am infinitely jealous.

Apparently someone "leaked" new songs from his album. He played a couple of the songs live before, so his fans were checking out the ones that they knew already. It turns out that they were completely different from the ones in concert, and they were very poor quality.

It turns out that he and his bandmates had some extra time in Dublin so they went into the studio at 8 pm and came out at 10 am with some fake copies of the songs so he had his friend leak them on his fansite forums.

Basically that's why I love Ben Folds. Only 3 of the songs have been confirmed fake, and they're the 3 that we've heard before. Two of them are known retail releases, so there's 4 others that are unaccounted for and I was wondering what people thought of those ones.

Indeed it is Ben. I forgot he did that CD. Plus, he's in one of those weird Priceline.com commercials with Shatner "singing". He's the guy in the background playing the piano.
