So I was in my comic book store today to pick up new comics and my store is having a half off all back issues sale so while looking through the back issues I came across Camelot 3000 they had all the issues but 6 and 11 but I was able to get all the other issues for .50 cents each so I figured what the hell. My point for this thread though is that I have listened to pretty much every episode of Ifanboy and I don't think I have ever heard the guys mention it on the show.

So I was just wondering what every one's thoughts on this series is. Sorry if there is a thread about this already but it always seemed like a really important series to me due to the fact that when I was a kid growing up I would go into my comic shop and I would see that cover image of the trade and posters for it so it kind of got i embedded in my head as being a really important DC mini-series along with Dark Knight, Watchmen, and the Original Crisis. I never bothered to read it until now. I haven't read it yet but I am looking forward to it. Also the art is by Brian Bolland which is cool. Plus I noticed that in November DC is releasing an absolute edition of this so that got me interested as well. Basically the point of this thread is just to see if any one has actually read this and if so what did you think?

Ah, a forgotten classic. Brian Bolland interiors. It's been a few years since I've looked this over, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. Some of the dialogue is very "of its time," but overall it's pretty fantastic.

I'm thinking this might have been DCs first "maxi-series", paving the way for the 12 issue minis that were the standard at Marvel and DC for some time. I might be wrong about this, though.

Oh, I'd buy "Absolute Camelot 3000" in a heartbeat. That series was so good. (And hopefully still is...haven't read it in about 10 years)

Camelot 3000?

Felt like a classic when I read it, but that was indeed ages ago.

Just finished the first issue. I thought it was good. Bollands art is amazing and I thought the dialogue was fine. I don't think it was outdated. Looking forward to see where the story goes.

I read this a few times as a kid and LOVED it back then. I found my copy of the trade when I moved 2 years ago and its sitting on my shelf. Might have to crack it open next weekend
