Warhawk Trophy Run and Clan

On August 27th there will be a new Warhawk patch going up as I am sure many of you know. Part of this patch is the ability to earn trophies. The list of achievements for said trophies was leaked online a little while ago and having read them it seems that many of them would be quite simple to get, as the Beatles said, 'with a little help from my friends'. So, that evening I will be hosting a Ranked server for folks to join so that we can all help each other get these achievements. If you are interested please send me a friend request if you are not already on my list. If you are, please send me a message on the PSN.

Oh, right. Also, I am not sure what has happened to the RAD Warhawk clan, but I have not been able to make contact with QuietCitizen for sometime since he has removed himself from my list. So I have decided to form another clan for those on my list and those who will be that truly love the hell out of this game. The clan will be for casual players for the most part. If you are interested in this as well please lemme know.

As far as I have read, you don't need the updates for all of the trophies. For those without, we can see a bout having alternating rooms for all.

Well, if you like Warhawk, you'll love the stuff the expansion packs add. And, for $12...

I'm sure that, if enough people who end up interested don't have the packs, the server will be set up accordingly. Maybe that's something that should be tracked, how many people have or don't have them...

Okay so it seems that the expansion will be coming out in the afternoon EST. This works out splendidly for me as I work until 5pm EST. So then I will be hauling ass not to Lollapalooza, but to my living room where I will immediately start up the server and send out the invites by 5:30 EST. Whoever is in the clan already can find the server through the community/clan section in the game.

Now onto the addition of Sunday Trophy Madness. I give an enthusiastic 'Sweet crackers yes!'. Sunday from 12:30pm EST to ???? EST there will be all day and all night Warhawk goodness. Monday is my day off so I am willing to put away a whole day and part of another to get this going. I will warn those playing however that I may become a bit punchy in the later hours through a combination of White Russians and lack of sleep. Admission will get you the whole seat but you'll only need the edge!

Okay, so the v1.5 update is coming on Wed. (as previously mentioned), and the new expansion pack titled Operation: Fallen Star is scheduled for Thurs. This is where we'll be getting jetpacks. There are jetpack-specific trophies in the list, so my question is this:
As Sunday was mentioned as another day some would be interested in playing, how likely is it that people will be downloading the pack, and will want to work on those trophies as well? We could have a blast, working on our jetpack skills together! I would imagine that the pack will cost the same as the others before it, which I think was around $7 or $8.

Okay folks I am just giving a quick update before giving a longer one in a few hours. Anyhow, the ver. 1.5 update will be released tomorrow which will include the sweet sweet trophies I so desire. Why do I sound like Gargamel talking about Smirfs? Anyhow, the update will be up and ready by 12pm EST apparently. I will give a bit of a bumper to that and Start a server up at 3:30pm EST. Then on THursday the day of the Fallen Star booster pack's release I will be hosting a server from 6:30 pm EST to ????. I know that some filks will not be purchasing the booster or haven't purchased one or both of the previous ones. I would like to work around this and see what we can do to get as many foplks playing as possible. If you have any ideas, please feel free to add me on MSN Enema_Bag_Jones@hotmail.com.

Now had I called it the GLC (Green Lantern Corps.) then I would not be so quick to let it go.

No man, I don't know about anyone else, but I have absolutely no problem with you starting a clan and hosting a ranked server (for at least 4 hours ;-) ), in order to get those 2 trophies! I was just thinking that, in the event that the clan trophy isn't retroactive, we may want to time the starting and the joining of the clan until once everyone has the v1.5 update. Considering that one trophy is for starting a clan and getting 9 members to join, I can't imagine how else they figured that would happen, other than groups of 10 people all taking turns creating clans.

As for the RAD clan, well it's basically defunct, so we need a new one. I was just saying that a TRS clan should be used at some point, since it's TRS fans who will be playing. Plus, if Jeff's really interested, well...

EDIT: Especially considering you can only be in one clan at a time, OF COURSE people are gonna be clan-hopping! How else are they gonna get that trophy?

I can verify that the Enlistee (join a clan) trophy is retroactive. I received the trophy for still being a member of the old RAD clan.

Yeah, when you were on, it was a lot of people coming in and out, signing on and off. It was going to be some match time, but ended up being a lot of messaging, as we tallied up and sent clan invites to everyone interested. It basically ended up being work in preparation for Sunday. We appreciate you checking it out.

I grabbed FS immediately, and love it. I have to say, the other expansions have been great, and gave us some really awesome tools and maps, but you know you've got something great when, after one match with a jetpack I felt like it was missing something NOT to have one. The jetpacks are SO SWEET!

I'm sure we probably will take note of what everyone's got, and go from there. Jetpacks are awesome, but there are trophies to work on, and playing with some friendlies will be a blast. Mac's actually the one running the clan, I've just been really eager to gather the troops!

Yeah, I thought I knew everything but apparently I didn't know that a Warhawk can do a powerslide by pressing both L2 and R2. Plus, you get a trophy for every section of the training you complete! :D

Yeah, the ground combat and vehicle training will take about 5-10 mins each, even reading everything in the tutorials. The last one is for Warhawk flight, which took me a little longer 'cause it's not my strong point. I actually died a couple times. Overall, maybe 30 mins., and you'll walk away with 3 trophies.

You know, I'm a bit skeptical about starting one of the newer games I've gotten...wondering if they're going to add trophies later and make me replay them. Nice that Warhawk was retroactive in some...not that I'd won any.

But, it does give me reason to play games like this and put off the newer ones for awhile.

I'm guessing you're referring to Uncharted. It's funny, I actually haven't grabbed that game yet (it's top of my list). With everyone starting over for trophies, I'm actually not that far behind anyone. I mean, yeah, tons of people have played it and experienced the gameplay and story, but it's all being done again for trophies.

For Warhawk, I actually only got 2 retroactive trophies, one for Chief Sergeant rank, and one for being in a clan. But, they got pretty creative with the objectives, and it makes for an awesome time. Shoot a dropship outta the air with an airstrike? Huh?!

What Warhawk is the first to do on PS3, is to allow you to work on trophies while playing online with friends. I mean, Super Stardust and Eden let you work on a lot (if not all) of them with same-console friends, and that's awesome, but there's no online MP for either title. Still, I've put in some crazy hours on both games, alone and with a friend, working on those freakin' things! I'm hooked.

Wow this thread blew up since I last checked it. I have been sick since Wednesday but I have been putting up a valiant effort to be online and awake at the same time. My thanks go out to Jay for being the Silver Surfer to my Galactus. My herald of sorts. Actually, that doesn't quite fit. Oh well.

So, Sunday. The whole dedicated TRS room idea does not seem to be going so well. We all have our respective schedules and time zones, which makes it difficult to organize. It is like trying to wrangle cats. SO, my idea is that we all just see who is online and follow them into their room and organize from there. I will be on at 12:30pm EST today and will be going at it as long as I can.

Oh, and if anyone needs any trophies just lemme know. I will open up a room and help you get a few.

I am staying off the PSN for a lil bit as there is thunder storm here and I had to take back my surge protector a few days ago. So I am waiting for it to pass.

I played for a couple of hours Sunday afternoon. I saw MacBstard and Jaylaf but wasn't able to join their game because my rank is too low, so I joined a random game. No trophies yet, except for the ones earned by finishing the training scenarios and joining a clan but I still had fun. I earned a new rank, Airman First Class, a couple of ribbons and a badge.

Played a new game type, too... Collection tasks you with picking up little radioactivity symbols and taking them back to your base. It is kind of like capture the flag except there are many symbols throughout the maps and if you kill someone carrying one, you can pick it up yourself. It was wonderfully frenetic.

I have been away from Warhawk for a long time. I swear I sucked a lot less when it first came out and everybody else sucked at equal levels. I am going to need to focus in order gain any ranking to catch up with you guys.

Yeah, I actually had the admin position for the clan handed to me, and passed it to him. SpectaculaDracula (MacBstard on PSN) told me to pass it to macfunnyguy, 'cause "he knows what to do." I guess he just hasn't played in a bit. I'll message Mac on the PSN, to get it moving again.

You know, I haven't gotten the one yet for winning a match on a clan server. Some of us should work on that one (unless most of you already have it). I'm always up for helping anyone with their trophy list.

I don't have that one either. I've only seen clan servers showing up a few times in my server list, and I doubt I have the chops to just jump into a match and win. :D

Pooh! I just saw this thread! --Haven't been looking at the forums for a while. I haven't been absorbed in the 360 since I got one; I just cleared off my lists to people I actually knew in real life for the most part since nobody was really playing anything except the most recent stuff or I didn't actually talk to them-- and have been managing like that since then.

Somebody had messaged me not too long ago asking about having the TRS Warhawk Clan bequeathed to them to get the trophy. I was thinking I should do it anyway for some time because I've been burnt out on that game forever and still don't have any particular urge to play it.

It's been a month since this thread was active, but if there's anyone who is presently gung-ho about playing Warhawk who wants to take over the TRS Warhawk Clan, just PM me-- though if there's anyone I frequently played with before that wants it, they'll jump to the front of the line to have it handed to them.

To be honest, I'm not playing it that much these days, what with the glut of great new games being released, but I try to still get in occasionally. I'll gladly take the lead. If anyone else needs the Warlord trophy, I can pass it down the line to them.
