My recent tunes.

I hardly ever listen to albums anymore. At least not as I used to when an album was more than just a collection of songs.

You are very right, Trouble (and Kingdom Come as well) are also right up there with my favorites on the disc. Actually I like the whole thing, and I would much rather listen to this than ANYTHING on the radio! You should check out Clipse's new disc, especially if you liked Lord Willin', Pharrell laid down some crazy tracks.

the gold record is by far the best souls album... its a bit different and took a little getting used to, but amazing nonetheless...

I love it. It's a little bit softer than their usual stuff. Lean on Sheena is my favorite souls song ever.
"lean on sheena" is an awesome cover... the avoid one thing version is different, but the souls always manage to make covers their own...

am i seriously the only one that doesnt like that album? everyone i talk to says it a great album. good thing i down loaded it
i dont think its their greatest... its good, but too polished...

The newest stuff I've been listening to lately is the new Blood Brothers album, Young Machetes, which I really like. But aside from that I find myself gravitating towards music I listened to over summer, Death From Above 1979, Mates of State, Against Me!, Hi Ho Six Shooter, Defiance Ohio, Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains, Cursive, I'm always listening to Bear vs Shark, either of their CDs never leave my car's CD player (mostly because I only listen to CDs when my mp3 player dies), and a few other random bands I doubt anyone has interest in.

I find myself listening to a band more when I find out they are playing a show here and it reminds me of how much I like them. That happened with Cursive and These Arms Are Snakes earlier in the semester.

I've been listening to a song called "Halloween Girl" by a band that goes by the name of Ghosts on The Radio on repeat the last week or so. I've been trying to purchase the entire album, but I can't seem to find it anywhere locally or on lala.com, where I get most my stuff. Looks like I just gotta suck it up and get it off their site and wait for it.

Other than that I'm always listening to Stereophonics, and I've recently gotten into Imogen Heap, Shiny Toy Guns, and suprisingly the latest Nelly Furtado album.

Honestly, I'm too embarassed to say (let's just say there's a "Hit Me Baby" in the title). Let me change it to something more appropriate.

there's no shame it that game. i've been bumping the JT album a grip lately. i can’t stand when people throw an elitist attitude toward pop/mainstream music (especially rap). “oh, i only listen to underground indie rock bands.”

i can’t really talk cuz i used to be the same way sometimes with underground hip-hop & electronica.
