Settling down after the busy comic book convention season, we sit down and dip into the voicemail box to hear YOUR questions about Ronin, Fables, Strangers In Paradise and more!

It's been a busy summer and the voicemails have been piling up. In this episode we answer your questions, like:

Are there any comics about a hero's journey from childhood to herodom?

and

Are the Homelands stories in Fables really any good?

and

What should you buy when you hit the quarter bins at a comic book convention?

But that's not all. We discuss the random prose story from Strangers In Paradise as well as addressing the question of whether or not super heroes should be married...again.

You can get in on the action next time by calling our voicemail line at 1-888-FANBOYS (326-2697)

I think Superman: Secret Identity (http://dccomics.com/dcu/graphic_novels/?gn=2414) covers that pretty well. You could also say the same for Superman: For All Seasons.

as well as addressing the question of whether or not super heroes should be married...again.

With Superman, while I see how the Lois/Clark/Superman stuff is popular, I don't see exactly how it's integral to the character. I think his boy-scout nature is more integral, and his nature would have him reveal who he is and tie the knot with her at some point.

Spider-Man...there's been good single stories with him and good marriage stories, and bad for either one. I wouldn't mind them breaking up if it was a good story and didn't have anything dumb like making a deal with the devil--but I digress.

Finally, the mention of Ronin...READ IT DAMNIT. It really is pretty damn good--up there with Miller's Sin City or his DD work.
