Has anyone seen/talked about The Fall yet? (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0460791/) It is a pure joy in the same vein as The Princess Bride. The DVD & Blu-ray comes out on Sept 9, btw. I assure you, you will enjoy it.

I was going to see it, but it lasted about a week in the one theatre it was playing at in AZ. Can't wait to see it.

I saw the trailer for this actually, looked very interesting. And if it's anything like Princess Bride I have to watch it.

Me and buddy went to see this in a small indie arthouse theater around here, and i went in with pretty high expectations because Fincher slapped his name on it. And let me tell you, this is one gorgeous film. i laughed. i cried. This is an excellent film. The main character is this little girl was one of the most genuine, believable, and likeable child actors i have ever seen. And she can't even speak a word of english. She memorized all her lines phonetically. She is amazing. This film is amazing. And i cannot wait to buy it the day it comes out and watch it over and over. This is the one film that makes me finally want a blu-ray player just so i can watch this film in the highest quality available to me.

I have heard that Tarsem basically had to "trick" the little girl into acting for a lot of the scenes, and that the results were marvelous. I also heard the story about how he told the whole crew that Lee Pace was actually paralyzed. Sounded like some interesting experimentation with the directing.

yeah like due to a miscommunication the casting director who could speak romanian to the little girl believed that he was actually paralyzed and he told her that he was. For the whole thing she believed he was for real paralyzed. Also as a side note, there is no cgi in respects to the landscapes or sets in this movie it is all real. and they are all breathtaking.
