I was watching the TRS Ep. 75, and I thought that Alex's Pants shirt looked familar. I was watching Bowling for Soup's Almost video and there is the drummer wearing a Pants shirt, just wanted to know what ya'll thought of this "coincidence"?

Its possible, but I don't think he would have watched the whole music video. I mean, its a great music video and all, but it just doesn't seem like something he'd like to see all the way through. Definitely check out the music video if you are into those kinds of videos though! Its just not his thing, but it is quite excellent so you would probably like it.

"Pants" is just starting to make its way to the US from the UK as slang meaning something sucks or its just plain sh**. I like Alex. I don't know why he thinks he sucks :(

Just gotta say, I made my own pants shirt when I was in college. I was watching the show and when Alex made a PANTS shirt, I couldn't believe it! I have him beat by years. BTW, I first saw the shirt in a movie called "The RM". Chances are you haven't seen it.

Seeing as David Letterman has had Worldwide Pants as a company for years and years, including lots of merchandise with PANTS on it, and the closing of every show having the announcer say something about pants, I don't think Alex was claiming to be the originator of the phrase. He just owns it well.
