Which captain do you think is better? I like Picard but Kirk is so much better.

i liked it also but it took itself way to damn seriously i mean its ok to be funny all the other star treks did it. and what no janeway haha

I love archer and I love enterprise... I actually think it was the best ST series ever... but picard still ist the best of em all...

I dunno the whole trip/malcolm thing was pretty funny sometimes, as was archer/t'pol.
and what no janeway haha I was just thinking enterprise captains. haha, but no you're right.

While I don't consider myself a HUGE Star Trek fan, Picard is definately better. I mean, Kirk was cool in the day, but his show definately has NOT aged well. To me, that show is almost painful to watch. However, Picard you can watch still today and enjoy it. Plus, like it has been said, Picard was a better leader, while Kirk just seemed to screw every woman-shaped creature who wandered into his field of vision.

Wow... I thought that the poll would be more evenly split than this... I am surprised to see Picard has such a lead.
When I voted for Kirk, I have to admit, I was thinking more of movie Kirk than of T.V. Show Kirk, I think movie Kirk kicks ass.

Im not a huge fan of either show but id take Patrick Stewart over Shatner, does that count?

Shatner as Shatner, but Stewart as Picard gets my vote. And is no one going to mention Sisko? DS9 is the strongest of the series in terms of continuity/story with suprisingly Enterprise in 2nd place. All the other series were mostly Westerns in space with revolving door plots. There were rarely mentions of anything that had happened in the past much less multi episode story arcs. Not to say I don't like them, but give me a long branching story any day of the week.
