Blood Sugar Sex Magic from the Chili Peppers, Nothing's Shocking from Jane's Addiction and Peace Sells...But Who's Buying? from Megadeth all have me very excited. Those albums are pretty loaded with great songs. I hope they do a lot more of this in the next year.

Foo Fighter's The Colour and the Shape was announced too. I probably won't be getting full albums from these DLCs, but the singles that are on them are definite buys for me.

Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?

My favourite Megadeth album...but I can't see myself getting Rock band 2...I think I've lost interest in the genre for awhile.

Since the Rock Band 1 DLC is playable on Rock Band 2, is there any chance the reverse is true?

Also my favorite Megadeth album, followed closely by Rust In Peace.

I would think so. They're probably just going to call it RB2 DLC simply because RB2 is coming out so soon. A subtle way of advertising and brain manipulation.

Doubt it...it'll be used as a tactic to get people to 'upgrade' to 2.

The Colour and the Shape is one of my favorite albums period, so to me that is totally kickass. I will eventually buy Rock band 2(no 360 up at college), but just the game, I don't really feel the need to buy the new instruments.

If I get Rock Band 2, I'll get Peace Sells for sure, or if it's backwards compatible.

However, I'm STILL waiting for my Nevermind album that was announced before Rock Band even launched. Well, it wasn't officially announced, I guess. But they shoulda never used that as an "example" since it's one of the greatest albums of the past 20 years.

Oh yeah dude WTF. Nevermind was supposed to come out ages ago. That makes me mad at Harmonix now

The guitar would be cool if I had calibration issues, but I don't. I sometimes encounter weird issues with the drums where it doesn't register a hit that I think it should register. That combined with the supposedly quiter drums, the cymbals and the bass pedal that stays on as I carry the drumset from the storage closet to the living room make it probable that I'll get the new drums. Guitar will wait until mine craps out on me, which should be a long time from now since I almost always play drums.

Yeah, it's almost like they bit you on the arm with a devemonized cobra, and then the snake wouldn't let go... What the hell kind of wedding gift is that, anyway?

Joysitq: Does the company foresee a point when DLC will be made exclusive to the latest version?

Teasdale: Not for Rock Band 2. We made it very clear that we want this to be a platform.

I'll for sure download The Color and the Shape, as for the others, I'll just pick a few songs from each.

I refuse to buy DLC for music games until they come with free mp3s I can transfer to my music player of choice. I'm not paying twice for music, just because it's in a game now.

Wes

I can understand this sentiment, but for me this kind of DLC is ideal. When I shell out $60 for the game I realize I'm getting a better deal by getting both the framework and close to 60 songs, but there are a lot of songs in there that I wouldn't have picked. I like to be able to go every few weeks and hand pick a few tracks that I really want to play. Rock Band 1 has stayed pretty darn fresh for me because of this. Granted, I've probably spent more than $250 on it by this point.

What I'm saying is, Wes, you're a much smarter man than I am. Don't come to me looking for advice regarding money.
