I've been shaving my head for a while and decided to try something different so I gave myself a mohawk.

So I was just wondering what the rest of the forums thought. Are mohawks rad?

I think they are... but I'll shave it off right away if I find a job interview or something of the sort. :p

I just got my fauxhawk done yesterday. I start a new business casual job on Tuesday, but I don't think they will mind.

How 'mohawk' is your mohawk anyway?

Not very, hah. Just about a week or two old now, so its just a fuzzy thin strip of hair down the middle of my head. :)

Ive been rockin the fauxhawk for a couple of years now. Mohawk is a little too adventurous for me, but theyre still RAD.

I had a hawk for awhile, shaved it for an interview. didn't even care about the hair at the place. so now I have a stubby hawk.

I've also had:
Bald
Mullet
3ft of long hair
Dreadlocks
Braids
Cornrows
Faux-hawk
Buzz-cut

I'm frequently known for my hair... so I always try to change it drastically.

How were the cornrows? I've always been curious about them but they look like they'd hurt, be hard to take care of and pull out lots of hairs?

Mohawks? I don't know, to certain people they're rad, but there are others who see people with mohawks and just kind of roll their eyes a bit. Fauxhawks are better because you get less of that, "what is that guy on?" looks.

My hair looks a lot like David Tennants right now, I like it.

Just like any other hairstyle, you have to own the hawk. There's a dude at my college who rocks a Fresh Prince flat-top fade.

That's boss.

I've never seen anyone sport the Mr. T style mohawk that connects to the beard except for Mr. T. If I were to go mohawk, that's how I'd do it.

Call me an employed dorky whose wife finds the dorky hot. What can I say, most employers, my employer won't allow me to be good, only dorky - but I can live with that. ;)

I started with a fauxhawk for a while, then later decided to go all out when I cut the sides too short once. I cut my own hair, it takes longer, but I save like $15-20 a month. There were always a few people who groaned about my hair styles. But, everyone knew me because of that, so i kept it up till i hacked it all off and stuck with the hawk.

@K4ng
Corn rows were tough, didn't last long and I had headaches because they were pretty tight (did them myself).

I think its safe to say that I don't like either, but I've been getting by with longer hair for a while as well. Suffice to say, its nearly Zack Effron style, I don't know how I feel about that (lol)...
