God damn it!!!!! I have been playing Castle Crashers off line for hours because the damn thing boots me out of games when I try to play over Xbox live. So I have been having a little bit of fun collecting things. I collected all the animals, and was on my way to collecting all the weapons. I was maybe 60 to 75 percent done.

I got an invite from someone on my friends list to play just now so we tried to play. Of course we got kicked almost immediately.

So I went back to playing single player off line. I go to my weapons/animal hold and EVERYTHING IS GONE!!! EVERYTHING!!!! I quit the game without leaving so it wouldn't save, restarted my Xbox, and it is still gone.

THAT IS FU#$ED UP!!!! Seriously. I am sooooooo angry right now.

That really sucks. :( I haven't bothered trying multiplayer yet because of all the talk about bugs. Local multiplayer has definitely been a blast, though.

Man that really sucks... Castle Crashers is a great game, it's too bad these bugs exist.

Thats terrible. The only multiplayer I've played is the eating thing. Everything else drops immediately. I was in a game with Steve (which I will brag about endlessly) and we got about 5 seconds in before it just dropped. I think I'm just gonna have a few friends over and go through it in local.

The Castle Crashers forum (http://forums.xbox.com/867/ShowForum.aspx) over at xbox.com has been on fire with that topic.

Ive been on that forum since CC came out waiting to see if there was any news for a patch for online play. I will say, since reading about people having their saves messed up, I have stopped trying to play online (other then Arena & All you can Quaff which occasionally works for me)

Good news is that the developers were interviewed at PAX (http://i.joystiq.com/2008/08/31/pax-2008-the-behemoth-talks-castle-crashers-pricing-patches-an/) and said they are working hard on a patch. Just hope M$ pushes it through their authorization process.

<fingers crossed>

The same thing happened to me, I was mightly pissed

There is a work around to retrieve your lost data:

Retrieve lost data (http://www.giantbomb.com/castle-crashers/61-20733/fix-how-to-retrieve-lost-save-data-stats-weapons-orbs/35-13644/)

Sadly I didn't read this in time and decided to reset the whole thing.... but hopefully this will save someone else from doing what I did.

I've yet to play online, because my brothers, their friends and I just play local all the time, but if I lost all my stuff like you did I probably wouldn't bother playing it again (or at least for a week or so).

"...
For those of you who are experiencing online issues, saving issues, etc I want to assure you that we are all very hard at work at getting an update to the game out as fast as we can. I am gathering all of the emails, forum posts, etc, etc for all of the issues that have been reported. As soon as I get them organized I will try to post them on here so everyone can see what we’re going to fix for the update. Again if you have any issues you want to discuss with us please email them to games[at]thebehemoth[dot]com and try to put a relevant subject line on there so I can sort through them easier. My next step is to get our forums back online without getting shut down again in the meantime you can find me on the Xbox forums.
..."

So you should forward your issues along to them and hopefully aid in any fixes they may not be aware of yet.

I bought it, even though I don't usually play multiplayer...it is fun in single player, too.

I'll definitely be emailing them. I tried all the fixes people have been suggesting and nothing has worked for me. I think it saved in the erased state and so I have a level 38 knight with no weapons or animal orbs :(
