Just heard about this yesterday.....best news ever!!!
"The CD was recorded two months prior to his death and contains nearly 40 minutes of previously unreleased stand-up material. "Do You Believe in Gosh?" captures most of the material Hedberg was working on for what would have been his next full-length album in a free-form show with a large amount of audience interaction."

This is awesome news. He changed quite a bit between the first two cds. It will be interesting to see if there was any further transition.
It kills me that he played in a shitty little place in Lake Charles, LA while I was living there, only 1 month before I first heard of him. That was the closest I came to being able to see him perform.

I walk by the poster for this every day on my way to school. It took a while before I took the time to read it and realized what it was. needless to say it blew my mind. I still use his escalator and pringles jokes. Although none of my friends like his stuff and when I listen to his old cd's and watch him on stage it seems like he struggles on stage a lot.

This makes my crappy day. No, this makes my month. Mitch was a big part of my formative high school years, and my friends and I still quote him all the time.

I can't believe Hedberg had the nerve to die. Selfish jerk. Think of how many great jokes won't be discovered possibly for centuries now.

"I like when they say movies are inspired by a true story. Thats weird, it means it's not a true story, its just inspired by one. You know that story about the lady who drove her children into a river and they all drowned? That inspired me to make a movie about a gorilla."
Classic.

I just gave the new CD a listen and its got some really good stuff. There was more audience interaction which made it feel more like being at a show than just listening to a more planned out performance with a bunch of his greatest hits all in a row.
I dunno if I ever mentioned this site before, but www.hedburgh.com has a bunch of live bootleg Mitch shows along with interviews and other appearances if you're in the mood for even more Mitch :)
