Voiceover legend, Don LaFontaine passed away yesterday. SO sad. Movie trailers will never be the same without him.

What?!?! He just had his 68th birthday like last week. We lost the greatest voice ever. :(

That sucks...

Maybe Pablo Francisco is looking for a career change...

Don LaFontaine was an awesome figure in voice acting. He will be missed. Who ever gets his job will have some big shoes to fill.

I loved this guy! Maybe Morgan Freeman can "take over". It wouldn't be the same, but it would be nice.

if there was ever a potion for eternal life, he should of been the first to get it. it'd be 2200 and you'd still hear his voice over movies, if they still had them. R.I.P.

I guess it's true that you don't know what you got 'till it's gone. We'll all miss you big guy, more than the world will ever know.

A while back my brother actually sent him an email requesting he record something for him. He got a reply with an Mp3 attached. It was really cool of him.

My brother used it to make a YTMND.

That's super cool. He seemed like a really gracious man. I've seen several interviews with him, where he talks about how fortunate he has been, and also how big he was into charity.

I am proud, as I can do "The" voice. But without Don, there would be no voice to impersonate. If you want to write something touching, perhaps even spectacular, to commemorate his legacy, I would be glad to record it and submit it for a TRS opening scene. If not spectacular enough, perhaps youtube would be willing to be my host.

You got a link to a sample?
