I don't think we'll disable it. It can be a good thing, and helps show who contributes. However, those who spam just to make their count higher, will be dealt with.

Why?
Like Shane said it makes a better judgement of the user.

I support removing post count, but only actually in the threads. This should be easy to do in vBulletin. Post counts should still be visible in profiles, but not next to the posts because it can encourage post count inflating (posting just to increase your post count).

I personally think post counts should be disabled as well.....Good users and contributors will be determined whether they are counted or not...Just like in the old forum, we all knew who contributed and was a good user.
EDIT:Also, I usually respond to every post I can whether it's a long five paragraphs or just a "I agree" and many could consider that spam but that's just what I do and I wouldn't like to be considered as a spammer just because of the way I post. Thats how I did it on the old forums and thats how I will do it here.

ok it was just a suggestion because every forum im on there is that one guy that posts 3 word posts like "woah nice dude" or some shit like that and they are small forum, now scale that up to this forums size. mods you can lock this now becuase i just wanted to throw it out there

ah, this is a much debated topic on forums. :)
Personally I think the post count should be left on. Its good to be able to identify the active users and for some reason it gives people a greater incentive to post, which is a good thing in most cases.
