Okay. So I'm fighting my gut, which tells me not to play WoW. I have a huge problem with MMOs in general because none of my friends play them. I have Guild Wars, which is okay, but people keep saying that WoW is so much better. I bought the game a while ago, played it for the 30 days free, and have since done two 10 day trials. I keep trying to find something I missed. Obviously the 10 day trials aren't too good of an indication of how the game is, as it has gimped features. I would love to have an MMO to waste my life on, but like I said, I don't have any friends that play and so it gets uber boring. What should I do?!?!?!

Thanks in advance,
Cody :D

You could look into joining the TRS guild on Executus. I'm pretty much in the same boat, but I prefer to solo, so it works out.

If you enjoy Guild Wars, WoW will blow your mind if you haven't played it.

I tried playing Guild Wars instead of WoW due to the subscription factor, and it made me want to punch myself I thought it was so bad.

Join a guild. It will probably make the game more fun for you, plus you get to make new interweb buddies! Yay!

Haha alright well you guys have me convinced, as soon as I get the time to go and buy a subscription card I'll hop right back on and probably join the TRS guild on Executus...plus I've never played on a PvP server. It ought to be a new experience for me! And I agree...the more I play GW, the more it sucks. :D

Thanks!

I just suspended my subscription because I was spending so much time on the game. Be a warlock, they are wickedly overpowered.

Indeed...

I just started my first lock and I'm enjoying how easy it is.

For some reason, I could never get the hang of playing a lock and the alliance voidwalker quest is next to impossible to solo (for me anyway). I eventually got one up to 22 before abandoning him, but it was the hardest class for me.

I solo'd the alliance voidwalker quest. :D

It took me two tries to realize I needed to get the bitch in my line of sight through the house and I didn't even pay attention to the other two guys.

I set the imp on her, then I threw a Curse of Agony on her. Hit her with a Shadow Bolt, then Immolate and Corruption, and Drain Soul till she died, got the necklace, ran across the field and the two add on guys didn't even get me.

My imp didn't make it, but that's okay. haha.

I went into the badlands at level 12 to do that quest and it took me 5 hours to fight my way out.

I tried just about every variation of 'sic the imp on her and then DOT/shadowbolt her to death' and invariably she would drop the imp in about 2 seconds and then both adds would come straight at me and kick my ass just as quickly. Eventually I was able to find a group and get it done. Oddly enough, the succubus quest was much easier (albeit time comsuming) .

I personally enjoyed WoW more. I avoid MMOs for the most part as I tend to get obsessive with the things I like. I have an addictive personality in a way. I did the WoW 10 day trial and I really liked it. If it wasn't for the expiration of the trial, I would constantly be on it. I did the whole GW thing at one point too, but I preferred WoW more.
