I don't know much about this Hak5 show, but when I heard about it coming to Rev3, I looked it up, and it seems to deal with alot of the same subjects thebroken used to.
Is this what finally feed thebroken's fan insassiable appetite for all things haxx0rz ?
(if it doesnt then it should.)
suggestion: bring back those Ramzi tips as a new segment for Hak5. I'd watch that.

Until Darrin and the gang start pounding forties, It won't be "The Broken."

well ok .. but i think what most people missed about thebroken wasn't the gangsta references, but more the tight niche it filled as a show about hacking.
like i said, never seen Hak5, maybe its nothing like it .. i dunno.
I still wish rev3 would think about offering a show like this, whether its called thebroken, or not.

Hak5 is really cool, I used to be a regular watcher of it. They do cover a lot of the same type of stuff that thebroken did, but it's kind of like what happened with Systm when Patrick started as full time host instead of Kevin and Dan. It won't quite be the same without Kevin and Dan and a bunch of 40's. :P
Even if Hak5 stays exactly the same as it was though (except now there will be more shows since they're moving to a weekly format instead of monthly), I would be ecstatic to see it on the Rev3 network.

I don't remember how many seasons they had but they have done one episode a month for several years. Way more than 4 episodes.

dude, its just that thebroken is the show that started it all .. way before there was systm or diggnation or what not, there was thebroken. and it was epic. :)
its what actually made me notice podcasts, and revision3 with it.
seriously it was pretty good, but a little too hard to back for a company that wants to be serious about attracting sponsors i guess.. but it's void has never been filled. no other show on the internet or even on tv for that matter quite covered the same topics. i mean, perhaps other than hak5. which I heard about for the 1st time a couple days ago.
rip, thebroken. may you forever bounce around in interweb mirrors.

no no i understand i liked the show.....i think it would be wise for them to bring it back
now that they have gotten used to the whole drinking in front of the camera....watching the old shows it just seems that they made to much about them drinking bear on tv

like i said, 40s had nothing to do with it for me. Sure the whole 'basement hax0r thing with the egyptian dude babblin about hacking' bid did color the show and i kinda hope they'd bring it back with the same kind of vibe, but what really made me enjoy the show was how they went into the details of all these things I probably would never do anyway.
and to that effect, someone with the skill & willingness to hack a console or what not is usually much more ressourceful to get it done than to have to learn it from 'thebroken'.

I'm looking forward to this :) I've see Hak5 off and on for year and will probably take more of a shine to it now since one of my courses this semester required me to sign an ethics agreement with my school. IT can be fun!

I have watched all of the season 3 hak5 episodes, and while its a bit rough around the edges, its really DIY stuff, hacking routers to do more, soldering, etc. And unlike the past 10 or so Systm episodes, their stuff works at the end of the show. Don't know if this is because they have three or four folks (mostly guys, one girl), because they pick smaller projects, or because they are just better than Patrick, but they actually finish stuff.
Great to have them on Rev3.
