Hak5 - A Reason To Get Excited About Rev3 Again!

I haven't watched Hak5's premiere episode yet(Gonna do it tonight on my PS3), but I'm really excited about it and can't wait! This really looks like my kinda show and a reason to get excited about Revision3 again! Also, I noticed the "hardcore gamers" in the show description so could you guys possibly post your PSN and/or XBL tags in the TRS Gamer Tags Index or maybe even in this thread? I look forward to watching the show and I thank you guys as well as Revision3 for bringing this show to the line-up. I'll probably be posting a thread with my thoughts a little later or just post em' in here. :D

Just this morning i was thinking with rev3 great track record for adding great shows to its fine collection, hak5 would be an excellent addition and there it was. The content of rev3 is getting better by the day. You got to give it up to Jim Lauderback for his keen ability to spot great talent and bring it under one roof. hope You guys fix the video quality quickly by getting both equipment to play nice with each other asap so its as good as past episodes from your site. Because I'm not going to watch it any where else.

I'm glad to see that this feels like "a producer, producing a show for Revision3"- I wasn't a fan of the way that Rev3 brought WLTV in (feels like "producer produces show for themselves, revision3 just happens to show it")

Love this show to begin with and now it is with Revision3 they are giving Hak5 more viewers. The added bonus is that it is now going to be a weekly show. This is the perfect show for the script kitty and those that are serious about apps, networking and programing not just the prepackaged hardware and software that you buy at the store. This show is almost as good as The Broken.

I love it when Matt said that they were doing everything on a "hacker" budget because hackers are normally not wealthy people.

I think it is cool that they are bringing a lot of these topics to the mainstream because normally you have to trudge and sift through a lot of crap before figuring out a lot of things they cover.

This show is like for the "System's Administrator" which is VERY beneficial.

The only places for improvement I believe are in the production quality. I expect bad production from kids in the little leagues of webcasting but now that your with Rev3, you've got to REPRESENT! I'd take some lessons from the kids over at EpicFU since they seem to have a lot of there stuff down to a science. Also, the people on the show should try not to be so stiff. Sometimes Matt seems a little dodgy eye'd and not fully engaged in who he's talking to. Also think about the size of your host on the screen. It seems that in episode 401 there was a lot of side space.

First time watcher, and after watching the first episode, I'm completely hooked. I do agree with misfit that every now and then things were a bit forced, but it wasn't anything major. Only big problem was production quality, but you guys addressed that in the other thread, so it's good to see you're on top of viewer critiques so quickly. Keep up the great work and I can't wait for you guys to get your hands on an HD mixer, that'll make the show even better.

I do love this show. One thing that I think you guys should do more of are the little definitions and tips along the bottom. Those help tremendously.

I always thought that API referred to just being able to customize a User Interface. I think it may have been because I've heard it user incorrectly but knowing that it is actually just a series of functions it helps me understand a bit more about what it is used for. Which leads to a lot of other questions about hacking around an API which is totally a good thing!

Wow... what a show.
I love how there are no shows that have the same topic on Rev3.
