Hey guys

Does anyone know if there's a way to completely remove a Users ability to view and edit .txt file? Besides, ZIP folders or file compression. But maybe a Run command?

Not if you want the computer usable at all.

Will they be able to use word? Then they can access the txt file.
Can they copy files? THen they can access the text file.

Disassociating the file extensions and MIME types might get somewhere to where you need to be, but items like text files are pretty basic.

How about more details on what/why you are trying to do what you are doing. There might be a better solution.

Make the file a PDF and don't have any software on the machine that can edit PDFs. That might block the ability to edit but to read them??? You could uninstall any WP programs and then try to uninstall Notepad. As long as the machine has a working USB port, someone could copy the file.
