Hey guys, It's me again. Yeess, that dude from the IRC network.

Just wanted to wish the Hak5 crew and community a warm welcome to Revision3 and also let all of you know that we're at it again. We have a room set up on Zone-9 just for the hak5 fans.

However, unsurprisingly the hak5 fanbase already HAVE their own, well-established IRC chat room. You can find it on irc.hak5.org

All that being said, you're welcome in our rooms any time and I'm sure the guys on MintIRC (hak5's own network) would be more than happy to have you as well, so I encourage you all to come check us out, see what you think, and maybe stick around on both networks if you so choose. :)

BTW, In case you've forgotten, Zone-9's IRC network can be found @ trs.zone-9.net and we also have a handy-dandy Web portal powered by CMS Made Simple and Mibbit AJAX IRC @ www.rev3irc.com (http://www.rev3irc.com)

See ya on IRC!

I definetly suggest checking out both of the IRC rooms. I hang out in both of them, so hit me up for a chat!

...so that's 555-MINT, one simple call and we'll do the rest!

Wait, we're not on TV too? Crap. Ah well, feel free to join us at irc.mintirc.net (http://mintirc.net/)!
For those with clients installed, that's irc.mintirc.net/hak5 (irc://irc.mintirc.net/hak5) (or irc.hak5.org/hak5 (irc://irc.hak5.org/hak5), they're both the same place) and for those of you without, that's either a Java client (http://mintirc.net/java) or Mibbit (http://www.mibbit.com/) - Enjoy!

Fixed it!Fixed it? Nah ... you just make yourself look like an ass.

Rev3 and Hak5 have IRC servers ... both created by fans. Noone is saying either is any better than the other. Snubs hangs out in both - so they can't be too bad.

No, Sir

Both groups/channels complete each other and gives choice. However

Just the obvious name dropping or self-promotion is child-play. I shouldn't have to resort to being an immature monkeys bottom to make a point, This habit needs to stop on both sides and understand "IRC network flag" is pointless effort.

I'm trying to make efforts to ignore it. But keeps being bought up by either side and I want to move forward

Just asking for people to respect each others network and without intending to step over the line just to show off

This ends now.

We pimp one IRC channel in the show, and it happens to be the mint network. Any more discussion on who's bigger / badder will end up having this thread replaced.

Hak5Matt - I like how both of us are working SO HARD while at our day jobs... ha!

My companies 'websence' blocked Hak5.org, because "The Websense category "Hacking" is filtered."

Haha, in soviet russia Hak5 blocks YOU! :P

And being my company's Systems Architect has it's perks ;)

You have both identified the advantage of working from home (I live in NC, but work for a company out of CA). I am sitting here in running shorts, a camp shirt, will take a shower a little later, have bluegrass rock covers playing on the stereo that would piss off anyone else in the office ... and importantly have noone looking over my shoulder.

Oh yeah, my commute is 40', including stopping at the fridge on the way from the bedroom :)

haha, darren works from home 4 out of the 5 business days, but my commute is about 15 minutes to the office.

It's good, because while here I actually have motivation to do 'work' otherwise, sitting in bed with a laptop, yea I'd probably end up passing out 3 or 4 times during the day haha

Contrary to popular belief, nobody is welcome on MintIRC, the official home of #hak5. Stay out.

Moonlit: What do you think of this new reverse psychology marketing effort?

Why, I autta...

...give you a cookie. It's brilliant! Marketing genius! Keep up the good work, boss!

We should put a "KEEP OUT" sign in the MOTD, kinda like 12 year old boys put on their bedroom doors and stuff.
