The internet is a wonderful source for knowledge, entertainment, and the occasional German shiza video. And while the entertainment and scat videos can be incredible time-sinks and can also be considered career-limiting activies, I would like to focus on the knowledge.
I would like to see some lectures that are enlightening but also entertaining. Here is my submission: Douglas Adams speaking at UCSB not long before he passed. What can you show us?

Grrrr...post edit killed my YouTube link. Here is the video. It is almost 90 minutes long, but well worth the watch.

I was going to dig through TED.com for favorites and make picks, but I realized people would probably benefit more from just browsing through the site themselves. So: http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks

M.I.T. has a program that lets you "sit o" on several of their courses on line for free--listen to lectures, see the course notes, ect. It is some high school program that I can't remember the name of. If you want information check it out.

I'm a big fan of the lecture Randy Pausch gave. The "last lecture".

I was gonna mention TED, too. Also check out iTunes U. Or whatever it's called... I haven't, but I bet there are some real gems in there.
edit: I should mention ItunesU to my stepfather, a media professor at George Mason.
