Who cares what they think? How does someone else's opinion affect anything that is worth reporting about now? How is this news?

They should be worried; they are blowing it. When you are hit, you have to hit back. You can't worry about what somebody is going to say or who you might offend. When the GOP slams them for "disrespecting" John McCain because he brings is POW stint up every ten minutes, the Dems should remind people of how Bush Sr.s crew savaged William Stockdale, also a POW, President of Stanford and twice the candidate of anyone else in that race. When they accused Obama of belittling the troops, the Dems should have reminded them of the "Purple Heart" band-aids they all wore to mock John Kerry. And when they trot out a stunt like Palin, the Dems need to call her what she is--A stooge who is running on Ralph Reed's ultra right wing playbook.

Their motto needs to be "The Democratic Party: Taking the High Road to Defeat!"

Their motto needs to be "The Democratic Party: Taking the High Road to Defeat!"I like that slogan, they should use it.

I just saw an article that said Obama is now going to step up his attacks. I love it. Keep going Obama, it's doing wonders for your chances! Go go go!

This isn't exactly new news, but quite certainly its relevant. People have been critiquing Obama's campaign for its "soft" nature since the primaries, and while it is good and noble of him to take the high road through the political system... It doesn't exactly win votes hand-over-fist.

What it comes down to is this: Obama needs to rail, and I mean RAIL, McCain-Palin on their outright lies and hypocracy, slam them for their new loosely-founded political attack ads, and stick to the hard-hitting issues. That is how Obama has gained and maintained a lead here in Michigan, and how he can continue that trend elsewhere.

If anything, this week has been a good week for Obama. We've seen the McCain-Palin "bump" slide on national polls, and we're seeing Obama keep and maintain leads in key states. Either way, it will continue to be a close election, but if Obama can keep McCain-Palin to a tight leash, use "firm" but also "respectful" rhetoric, then we can pull off the win.
