Eight years ago, complaints about charging rape victims for medical exams in Wasilla prompted the Alaska Legislature to pass a bill -- signed into law by Knowles -- that banned the practice statewide.
"There was one town in Alaska that was charging victims for this, and that was Wasilla," Knowles said
A May 23, 2000, article in Wasilla's newspaper, The Frontiersman, noted that Alaska State Troopers and most municipal police agencies regularly pay for such exams, which cost between $300 and $1,200 apiece.

She can go to hell, as can anyone who thinks she and McCain would make a great presidential team. Charging victims the cost of the forensics is just fucked beyond belief.

Ooooh. Good point. She was more concerned "trooper" wise with her ex bro-in-law than cutting down crime.

when did communism enter into it. This is just plain evil. Charging victims 1200 bucks for a rape kit that the gov demands for a reported crime is just absolute evil. When I got robbed, they didn't charge me for taking fingerprints off the window sill. same damn thing. Just evil Republican HMOs got their "fingerprints" on this One. And They spell. P. A. L. I. N.

With news like this, we sure are going to have one interesting presidential election this year.I think its become a VICE PRESIDENTIAL election for one party.
Palin and McCain were going to go out alone next week after Goose returns from Alsaka, but she draws a crowd that McCain can't (people are curious).
What does that tell you?

Hey, dumbass, way to take a phrase out of context. In theory it would be a good idea, and there are "intentional communities" out there that do just this, pooling all assets and dividing equally, but in practice, it sucks because there will be those who prefer to not pull their weight. Far different from being like, "Hey, we should all become Communist!" The bit-form we have (welfare) sure as hell fails.

Well, apparently keeping the streets safe isn't an expense the taxpayers are responsible for, at least according to Palin, but a bridge to a small island inhabited by 50 people, to the tune of $400 MILLION, is a justified expense. Go fig. The more I think about this, and about Palin, the sicker I feel.
