So just curious to see what everyones job is here...I am of course a student so that's my job for now but as some of you know I have been a "dock boy" for about three years.
Basically, I would do whatever kept me busy while working at a gas station on the lake. Cleaning, sorting, organizing, stocking, serving. Main job though was to greet boats that came in and proceed to fill their boat/jetski/yacht up with gas, take their money, and bring their change back.
So guys...Whats your job?

Sales Engineer/Consultant for west coast based software company specialising in financial systems for insurance agents/financial advisors. You will never have heard of us, but I'd bet your bank or insurance company use our product.
My usual joke ...
Q. What the difference between a computer salesman and a used car salesman?
A. The used car salesman knows when he is lying.
My basic job is to keep the sales guys honest - I have a deeper technical knowledge of our product (and a broader knowledge of the apps limitations and capabilities), do product demonstrations (remote via web conferencing, or onsite ... which means periodic travel, like a road trip to Quebec and Toronto next week), write RFP responses, and provide technical consulting on product integration.

Hey I love "math" in the sense that just like chemistry is truly is all around us. But everytime I speak with a teacher about Graduate level math they usually say at that point your pretty much looking into just being a math teacher.
Is that true? I understand everyone uses an aspect of math to a point but never every single theorem/proof of theorem. IDK Sometimes I feel overwhelmed with the complexity of some math. Im not looking to get into any direct math professions Im just curious.

Goin to Toronto, eh?
You should stop through, I' like an hour from toronto. Right on the US/Canuck boarder... Yes, my commute to work, I can see Canada, right across the river. Only on the nice days, because the town wont plow that road in the winter, so I am forced to go the slower way to work...
Oh, and uh... Good joke.

While it is true that career Mathematics is certain to limit your options. I wouldn't say there were none. There are career opportunities for math geeks in the tech industry and the defense industry to name a few. The math used in economics is prized. However, these slots are limited. Most people who study math opt of a career in acadamia because teaching math is such a large part of learning math. So many people are really crappy at math and so poorly prepared in high school, you get excellent job security.
As far as the whole Theorem/Proof thing, that where true math lies. Math is not about adding, subtracting or even elementary algebra. It's about axioms and logic and arguments.
