I saw that earlier. Damn shame. He and his mates created some interesting collections.

Anyone ever listen to his solo work? Any good?

I agree that some of the kids will not know who he was.

I didn't know he was. I just looked him up though.

I like Pink Floyd. Actually, I was listening to Comfortably Numb a few hours ago. I just don't know the members names. Not a die hard fan.

If you are serious, please ban yourself for two hours.

No, I'm not. I just wanted to be grouped with the "young kids."

Tell ya what, I'll ban myself right before I go to bed.

Hey, we Banned 'Shadow today... I'm beginning to think that anyone can get banned at least once.

Really? What for? I just took a look at his recent posts but didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. I'm assuming anything questionable was deleted though. How long?

That was BS, by the way...

OT: Not the biggest fan of "Pink Floyd" (though it has nothing to do with age), but I like some of their stuff. I have friends who'll definitely be more affected by this.

I hope he was at peace with himself when he went.

I forgot he wrote "Us and Them". Probably one of my all time favorite songs, up there with Comfortably Numb and Wish You Were Here.

Man my dad had so many albums of theirs.
Careful with that axe eugene was the only song ever to give me nightmares.
The Wall I esp love and Another Brick in the Wall Part 2 is one of my fave songs ever!

RIP man.

I wish i could play piano but the blending of the keyboards and synths made Pink Floyd the band they were. Just listen to Dark Side of the Moon and you'll see what I mean.

ROCK IN PEACE MAN ROCK IN PEACE

I know this happen a couple of days ago but I wanted to post.

I am 28 years old and a huge fan of Pink Floyd I have listen to them since around the age of 5. My brother is a huge HUGE fan and he always listened to the floyd and when I started to play guitar David Gilmours style was what I wanted to learn. Pink Floyd is a huge thing in my family their music was some of the best stuff I think personal that was ever written & recorded in music. Pink Floyd is a one of a kind band and will always hold a place in my heart.

Richard Wright was a AMAZING keyboard player. He was a major part of the bands sound and he will truly be missed. He was a founding member and I hope more people the younger people will listen and hear the passion and the truth that their music held. It's something music hasn't had in a very long time.

RIP Mr. Wright.

How long ago did Orville die?13 years ago today (1995). Popcorn has never been the same since.

Saw a great coverband once that blended Another Brick in the Wall, with Psycho Killer. Jindabyne, September 1989 (Spring Skiiing in Thredbo/Perisher). Memorable night.
