I doubt we could get rid of her either way at this point... it's embarrassing yes,
but offers up some decent comedy, especially on Saturday nights...
About November 5th, and the future in general...
....I'm really hopeful that I'll be safely locked up with my arsenal of
space weapons deep in my cavernous moon base by then... the
Russian Space Station (http://media-2.web.britannica.com/eb-media/92/70092-004-17A8C568.gif) will be on the way and I can hang out with
Lord British (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/article4930136.ece), maybe play some old school Wizardry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wizardry) with a pro, I might
have to hijack a plane (http://www.pbase.com/jmlevy/image/47288111) which will be the hard part...
...or maybe move to somewhere in New Zealand if all the idiots in the world
end up in a mass exodus to Alaska like I fear may happen, worst case.
I mean, when's the last time you heard of New Zealand picking a fight with
anyone... I never hear about any horrible crap happening there lately.

today: Tampa McCain rally: Where is everybody? (http://blogs.tampabay.com/buzz/2008/11/tampa-tampa-ral.html)
About 30 minutes before John McCain is scheduled to lead a rally outside Raymond James Stadium, looks like there's maybe 1,000 people here. What's up with that? On the day before the election? Bush drew at least 15,000 people to a rally just across the street on the Sunday before the 2004 election.
"We are the quiet majority that goes out and gets things done. ... I smell victory,'' said state Rep. Kevin
And last week at the infamous "where is joe the plumber" rally. (http://www.propeller.com/story/2008/10/30/mccain-buses-in-4000-school-children-to-fill-crowd-at-small-rally/)
Thursday, October 30, 2008:
John McCain held a rally in Defiance, Ohio, today with an estimated crowd of 6,000 people. Apparently two thirds of that crowd were school children which were bused in to fill the crowd. This is the same rally in which Mccain announced Joe the Plumber and called to Joe to introduce him to the crowd, but Joe was nowhere to be found

US to 'subsidise guns for the elderly' (http://www.news.com.au/story/0,27574,24768566-401,00.html)
Under the deal, seniors who buy the $US300 ($460) 9mm handgun will be reimbursed by the federal government in the US, magazine New Scientist reports.
Matthew Carmel, president of Constitution Arms in Maplewood, New Jersey, said the gun was "something that they need to assist them in daily living".
"The justification for this would be no more or less for a (walking aid) or wheelchair, or any number of things that are medical devices," Mr Carmel told the magazine.
Riiiiiiiggggggghhhhhhhtttttt.
Because the elderly and disabled need a 9mm handgun to 'bust a cap' off the pill bottle, or 'shoot over to the store'?
Maybe there is a need from a personal protection perspective since the elderly are targetted frequently, but seriously? A subsidy as a disabled aid?

I don't get it man. Is this seriously their strategy? Ridiculous bitching about anything and everything the left does? They have plenty of complaints but no suggestions it seems.
Republicans should be using this time to lick their wounds and rethinking their strategy. Instead of reforming the party, they seem to be digging it deeper in the whole in my opinion.
In my opinion, a significant reason McCain lost was because the campaign shifted away from the issues and towards attacks. The same is still happening. I mean, I seriously heard constant bitching about Obamas bow for like 5 days. 5 days of bitching over a stupid bow! Screw the economy, Obama bowed! Get real. I don't get it man. Is this seriously their strategy? Ridiculous bitching about anything and everything the left does? They have plenty of complaints but no suggestions it seems.
To be fair, even if they had suggestions, I'm not sure we should listen to them. I don't understand this whole bipartisan thing. Sometimes there aren't two valid sides to an argument, sometimes you can't compromise. Beyond that, when you're the reason we're in a global recession, why the hell should we listen to your advice for getting out?

Well, I don't believe that and I also don't believe it's all the Republicans fault.
I'm sorry guys but sometimes people are wrong. Completely and utterly wrong and racism is such a thing.
There's no need to sugar coat everything.
"Don't make fun of racist people! That's mean! You're a snob."
Honestly? If you go through life acting like this you'll never truly oppose anything.
"Well that there is an interesting concept. However, I personally respect your opinion of punching babies in the face".
Be real people.
I'm going to raise an interesting point I raised in another forum, what if racist can't helping being racist any more than homophobic people can't stop being scared of gays, you don't shout at someone who scared of spiders for discriminating ageist them, granted spiders arn't people but what if someone can't help hating someone because of the color of there skin any more than you chose who to love.
I just thought I would throw that point in there you can't discriminate ageist someone because of there beleif even if they are disgriminating agesnt someone else because then you are just as 'bad' as they are.
It's like killing someone because they killed someone to show them killing people is wrong.
If that makes sense, I don't think you can say "you killed someone so to show you that is wrong we are going to do it to you" that's not setting an example, a person is person it doesn't matter if they are black or white or rasist or homophobic or peace loving hippies.

That was kind of hard to follow, but I think I understand what you are trying to convey. The issue is that as humans, we have the ability to be rational; which means we have the ability to change. A racist person can change. So yes, they can "help it". As can a homophobic person, or a person scared of spiders, or whatever. They may choose not too, most people don't. How often do you hear "Thats who I am".
The question is where does the morality lie? Its much more complicated and I don't have the mental clarity to form a post or opinion on it right now as it would take a lot of time and I have a 15 page German History research paper due Wednesday. I just keep telling myself one more week :)

I love Fox "News" dude. I'm being serious too. I watch it all the time. Not for the news, but for entertainment. Glenn Beck is one of my new favorite show's on television now. I watch because he's bat shit crazy. I never know what he's going to do next. He seriously had a guy outside wearing a hazmat suit a few weeks ago to clean up a "green light bulb" that broke. Hilarious.
It's strictly entertainment for me.

I'm not surprised that Bush has lawyers who can make such intellectually dishonest arguments, but that story just shows that Bush overstepped his Constitutional authority far earlier than most people think and provides yet another compelling piece of evidence for prosecution. Unfortunately, it's probably yet another piece of compelling evidence that Obama will ignore due to the blinders strapped to his head to make sure that he's "looking forward."

No, I wouldn't say superior because we're both human beings with our faults. I will say I'm a more understanding person and apparently more tolerant and kind towards others. But superior? No. If I thought that I would be no better then they are. THEY are the ones who think they're superior towards others (minorities).
