Okay, so here is my issue.
If I understand the rules correctly all you have to do is stop the match from loosing contact with the glass the covers the bill and you can only touch one glass. I just watched Brian explain the rules again and I think the rules need to be changed so you don't lose your $5. I'll discuss this in a moment.
As the rules are stated by Brian this really poses no contest if you think about it. I can touch the match and one glass to get to the $5. As long as the I keep the match in contact with the glass covering the $5 I am a winner. So using two hands, I hold the match tip against the glass with my left fingers and pick up the glass with my right hand. I win.
Let say you added the rule you could only use one hand. I still win. Just place the match between your right index and middle finger (like a cigarette) to hold the match against the glass and lift the glass by wrapping your hand around it. Brian said you can use "whatever crap you got laying around" so since I can only use one hand I have my friend reach in and pick up the $5.
So here are the rule ideas I have:
Same alarm system and one glass touch rules, but add that nobody can touch the match with their hands (or any other part of their body). And you hand them two matches and tell them they have to use one or both of them to get past the alarm system. You can mime using the matches like chops sticks or tweezers to lift the alarm system match out of place. That is to throw them off the path. Of course if they move the match they lose.
So to keep it simple you really add one rule to Brian's rules. Nobody can touch the match with any part of their body.
Just some thoughts I had on this as watching the scam I immediately thought of how to beat it with the rules stated as they are.
