has anyone tried out the beta with Netflix yet?
because i installed it....
then i went to netflix and got a list of movies available for streaming...
then i hit the triangle button...
then i clicked "copy"
and it appears to be copying the Netflix movie to my hard drive. lists it as 3925MB...and it's currently at 4%.

Hadn't even heard of it before...nice to know they're working on it for the PS3 though. I'll have to nose around when I get home. Where do you get it?

I may have to try that just for the upcoming Wii support. (PC uses the tv that the PS3 and 360 do...but the Wii is in the main room.)

I guess this is for the US only :( almost all those sites block Canada

Hmm, looking at the requirements, I may have troubles running this on my XP boot: "100 MB of available disk space for installation, plus recommended 4-5 GB extra space on the same drive where Windows is installed "
I tend to make the windows partitions 10GB...though I've been planning on upping that to 20GB next time I have to install fresh. I'll have to see if there's a reliable way to somehow move the documents and settings.
I got it to show up in my PS3, it shows the movies in my instant que for Netflix but everytime I try to play a movie it says "The Data is corrupted" and then the album art disappears. BETA for sure.

ok, so I installed it...it was easy enough, and had no issues with it on my PS3. Even watched a couple episodes of Good Morning, Miss Bliss. I did move my All Users folder off of the C drive to make sure I had at least 4GB, though...it'd be nice if I could tell it to use my user profile instead (and it did lead to finding the output.mpg file it converts the video to.)
I was thinking I wasn't going to have much use for it until they got it set up for Wii, but I can use my PS3 BluRay remote to watch the movies now, rather than mouse/keyboard while sitting at the desk. Apparently it's going to cost a one-time $30 for the software license...not sure how I feel about the price at the moment.

They had me download a DLL for my pc which fixed the issue, but the playback is extremely choppy. I said screw it and just hooked up an old windows box to my tv to watch instantly.

There are times when it's hesitates a bit, but I just hit pause for a few minutes and let it cache a bit more. Did have some problems with full seasons on the 360, though.

Works great for me on the 360. I'm pretty sure I'll drop $30 for it once the beta expires. I don't need the Netflix support since that's coming next month anyway, but streaming Hulu is a godsend.

Did you try a TV season? They list them as folders..but they wouldn't display the episodes in the folders for me on the 360. Just empty. (No problem on the PS3 though.)

I'll check that out when I get home. Are you talking Netflix or Hulu?
You might try writing support for that one. I emailed them at 11:00 PM last night because Hulu wouldn't stream, and within 10 minutes they emailed me back and said "You don't have IE7 installed. Write back if that isn't the issue." IE7 had been buggy on my machine and I'm a Firefox man, so I just uninstalled IE7 near its release and never tried installing it again. That definitely fixed my problem. The fact that someone was monitoring the support email and responded so quickly was pretty impressive.

That was Netflix.
I'll have to toy with it some more Sunday...it might just have been a one time thing.
