View Full Version : Hours a day gaming? movies? internet surf?...

Hi people,

Big fan of the show here, I'm from Spain, 34 with 2 years old twins with .... so not so much free-time... anyway I manage to play a lot of WOW, surf the web a lot, listen / watching Diggnation, TRS, MMO Report, 1up show, WOW Podcasts...

I ask on twitter (I'm ivanux - http://twitter.com/ivanux - if you wanna add me) to TRS FANS:
"@jeffcannata, @alexalbrecht, @DannyTRS & TRS Fans, How many hours/week ... 1 PC games? 2 Console Games? 3 TV-Podcast? 4 Movies? 5 Web surf? "

And I think it's a good question to ask in this forum too as my first post...
I can say:
PC Gaming: 15-20 hours / week (mostly WOW)
Console Gaming: 5 hours / week (NDS and Xbox360)
TV-Podcasting: 15 hours / week
Web Surf: A LOT ( I work as Linux/Unix sys admin so I spent all the work-hours online)
In my case: "Twins time" is the BIG BIG Winner lots of walks, parks and poos :D

PC Gaming: ~15h/week
TV+Podcasts: ~20h/week
Web surfing: ~35h/week (boy should I cut down on web stuff and study more)

Console Gaming: ~10h/week
TV/podcasting: ~24h/week
Web Surfing: ~60h/week

The web surfing is hard to pinpoint because if I'm on a computer I'm doing it, but I also multitask. for example I surf while I watch TRS and while i watch football on sunday.

Wbesurfing: All my freetime. I'll say 60+ hours.
TV-Podcasting: 20 maybe?
Videogames: 0

While at work, I am on the web a lot, but I don't know how much exactly. So this will only count the time after work. Weekends are a wash, so I can't count those.

5-day week:

25 hrs PS3 gaming
10 hrs videos (movies, TV)
9 hrs video/audio podcasts
10 hrs web stuff

5-day week:

25 hrs PS3 gaming
10 hrs videos (movies, TV)
9 hrs video/audio podcasts
10 hrs web stuff

Well, I guess for the next week or two, those 25 hours of PS3 gaming will be slotted partially to Wii, Xbox, and PSP, as well as videos and web stuff...

*sigh*

It varies way too much from week to week...if I'm really involved in a game, I'll put the other things off for a week, etc.

I don't watch many movies these days, though. Even though I have a waiting list of about 20.

Don't mean to highjack the thread but is 8 hours a week of wow worth the monthly cost? That's all I could do. okie thanks.
