Because it was only good when it was TechTV alone.
Big Thinkers was a great show, I don't know if G4 turned that into "Icons" or something but the minute G4 came in I checked out.

Probably the only good thing they did was bring more publicity to Morgan Webb's rack and I'm not sure they can even be given the credit for that.

I remember when TechTV was good. My TV whenever on used to stay on TechTV, I was in love with the channel. When I first heard of the G4 thing I thought "Oh cool now there will be a few gaming related shows".... If only that was all that happened.
Oh gosh - I know "the internet is the future" and there are ways to get net content on your TV and it's the future, but consarnit! I wish TechTV was still around. I LOVED that channel so much. Also, in that I watched TSS every night it was slowly but surely turning my girlfriend (now wife) into a bit of a nerd. Now that Fountain of Tech is no longer available and kids these days are going to grow up with these all-purpose consoles - having their tech spoon-fed to them ... IN MY DAY!!!
Of course - I jump through hoops trying to get TV shows I love onto my phone for portable viewing and this is completely unnecessary with the Revision3 shows (and others) that I love so ... that is a positive.
The Icons series was cool and I do miss the old Wil Wheaton Arena :).

Yes I remember those good'ol days. I did enjoy some of the new shows that were brought over from g4 when they merged with tech tv. G4tv.com was a kickass show, and I also enjoyed judgment day and filter with Diane Mizota (who I still have a crush on). I still watch g4 for aots and xplay so I don't hate as much as some other people I guess.

G4-TechTV was never good.
ZDTV was good.
TechTV was good.
G4TechTV was not good.
It has been so long that I think people have false memories about just how good it was. There were some bright spots in the show lineup, but in reality there weren't that many ... and the good things are still available online through various peoples web projects.
There are a number of shows that I do miss - Icons was one of them - that don't really have a good replacement, but I can do without.
Oh yeah - Morgan's rack. I can't remember seeing her rack. I know the TSS guys had a rack over in the phone area, and I am sure the gaming servers were racked as well, but I really can't think of seeing Morgan's rack anywhere. If you *are* fixated on Morgan's rack, then I guess G4 really is the network for you - because I don't think yo see one in WebbAlert either.

Morgan always seemed like a nice girl. It's such a shame she works for G4 and allows them to degrade her like that. She should really try and get a respectable job in Playboy or Hustler, perhaps. Something where she's treated like a decent human being, and not some piece of flesh for horny teenage boys to oogle at.

I'm not sure how she's been degraded at all.
If you're smart and attractive you don't have to just be proud of being acknowledged for one and not the other.
