Seriously...censoring the show now?

I put up with them not really drinking that much anymore, not discussing more tech-oriented stories, the stupid stupid sponser ads that have grown over time....but come on. I just had to stop Diggnation mid- episode to post this. They censored Alex saying 'asshole' and him flipping off the camera...seriously?? It's the internet people we dont need to censor ourselves, atleast not that much.

Agreed, the show is rated for a mature attendance. So there should be no reason why the show would be / is getting censored.

In a small way, yea it did. There's a certain "damnit-all" mentality in the way Diggnation used to present itself, and this is just another symptom of that slowly disappearing. Go back less than a month, and Alex was dropping the F-bomb like 4 times because that was Alex, now he gets censored saying asshole because of external influences [assuming advertisers and complaining parents, but who knows], which means they aren't acting like "friends on a couch talking about shit" anymore, which we all loved.

It's fine to run a podcast without cursing [I love PC Gamer Podcast for example], the issue is that this is a symptom of being willing to bend to other peoples' influences, which they would have never even thought of doing a year ago.

The weird thing is, Alex clearly said motherfucker and it wasnt censored in the same episode...
Maybe their main sponsor asks for this (long shot)

maybe... Though maybe because Alex said in the show for Glenn to censor him flipping off the camera, Glenn just decided to censor Alex... the part where the audio cuts is very close to the flipping off.

Well it didnt ruin the show when I watched it. In fact as stated above... alex clearly said mother fucker and it was not bleeped or covered so I dont really see your point at all.

Alex is commenting on the picture where Pedobear has been put on the head of the father in the picture, Alex says "put a bears face on his head" and just when Kevin is about to say that the bear is in fact,
the legendary savior of lolis, the Pedobar!

But all we can hear him say is : "No.." before he is cut off.

Off course I could be horrible wrong and this is a train wreck of a post.

I totally agree with you. The fun part about Diggnation is that it's risque. If they're changing their ways it takes away the realness of the show.

but confusingly, at the beginning of the show i believe it was alex who said "fuck" and it was uncensored, but then when alex said sry about flipping off the cam, i thought, wtf?

yeah WTF is up with the sometimes censoring stuff. Maybe they are trying to ease us into the new censored format of the show. They slowly introduce censorship into the show.
