Several friends of mine got to see it at Fantastic Fest this year, and they all were raving about it. It's pretty high on my list of must-sees.

I have to admit, i'm not a big fan of the actor JCVD, but the movie JCVD looks very interesting.

I totally can't wait to see this. I love the pseudo-real life things like this. Another one on my radar is "What Just Happened" with De Niro and Bruce Willis (as Bruce Willis).

Looks surprisingly good. I have been a fan since "Bloodsport".

Just watched it . . . viewed it on Netflix "Play Now" and it was the dubbed version (not by choice)

I was moved to tears twice in this flick by his physical performance alone (because it wasn't his voice)

I'll be going out to buy it in support of the film but mostly because I want to hear his own voice.

What an incredible movie.

(ya know - the thought of someone not liking this movie makes me mad and I'm not entirely sure why. In my eyes, someone bad mouthing this movie would be doing so, just to do so. Wierd I feel so strongly about that because I don't think I'd really defend another movie with so much ferver . . . odd.)

Example - this was the review in a major newspaper: "This may well be the most memorable Jean-Claude Van Damme movie ever, but I’m afraid that’s not saying much."

I see that, and I get infuriated . . .

Up to you . . . was kinda nice to be able to understand him speaking so i could see his whole performance (instead of looking down to read words and miss physical acting) - that would be the only benefit to watching the dubbed version . . . there is a 6-8 min monolgue that punches ya in the gut . . .

If that is exactly how it is quoted, then I am pretty sure the reviewer meant it in regards to Van Dammes other films, not JCVD.

I saw the first 30 minutes of it but something happened, circumstances I can't remember, that forestalled me from finishing it. Never got back around to watching it. I would like to see it in its entirety though.

This is a great movie, especially for JCVD fans. But before watching this you must know that THIS IS NOT A JCVD MOVIE! What I mean by that is that its not like Hard Target, Lionheart or Bloodsport where JCVD kicks his way to victory and success (and most likely very horny women!). This is about the man behind those movies, and portrays himself as a man who is still well respected by the public, but whose personal life is in shambels. It also shows what would happen if the real JCVD would be involved with a tense problem (in this case a hostage crisis) in which the movie JCVD would easily solve with kicks of fury. The difference between the two are quite different, and great to see.

His soliloquy around the end was amazing, it really presses your emotional buttons and helps you take pity onto him. Overall, I'd describe this as a great dark comedy, reccomended for everyone who loves JCVD or even those who thinks he's a hack!

This movie made me cry.

I never expected a Jean-Claude film would make me cry, but it's unlike any other film he's ever made.

You really feel for him. It shows his human side. You cheer for him.

It's really two films.
One is a story of a bank heist. The other is the portrait of a has-been actor, who accepts the mistakes he's made in his life and opens himself completely, for the whole world to see.

I never would have expected that from a Jean-Claude film.
It's a must-watch in my opinion.
