I have a set of 2gb(1gbx2) 800mhz G.skill memory, that runs dual channel, I'm in between swapping 1 1gb stick with a 2gb 800mhz G.skill stick. I know they cant run i dual channel, and i had to force the bios to read them at 800mhz otherwise it was 667mhz. So my question is should I go back to the 2gb(1gbx2) or stay with the 3gb(1gb+2gb)?

Every machine is different and strange things do happen, so there is no perfect blanket answer. But theoretically, at least, the 2gb in dual channel mode should be faster.

Also My mobo and cpu, since i know it also has to do with "system bus speed".
Mobo: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Spec.aspx?ProductID=2500
CPU:AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ 2.80GHz
Also is there by any chance a benchmark i can do to see the difference in the memory setup like 2gb dual channel and 3 singal?
