I want to start this thread on the new series that IDW is bringing us on a franchise that we all know and love. Yes there have been some problems in the past but the here and now is looking pretty good. The 25th anniversary toys are pretty awesome (although hard to get in Canada) and this new series really looks promising.
I really think this comic can be a great vehicle for some awesome character stories while still giving us some fun and exciting JOE vs Cobra action. That said I hope they pick good characters on all sides of the conflict.
And with a $1 preview I'll give it a shot.

I thought the #0 issue was a good indication that this series will be enjoyable. I really liked the World War 3 story that ended the last GI Joe comic and I'm looking forward to seeing the beginnings of both organizations in the new comic.
Hopefully they will include some focus on the origins of some popular characters, especially Cobra Commander, Destro and The Baroness. If you never read it Cobra : Reborn was an awesome origin for the Commander as well.

Issue #0 came out last week. It's a great deal for $1.00 :-)

Enjoyed the #0 issue, and will be reading all three series. The GI Joe:Cobra seems to have a lot of potential, with it's espionage/noir style.

As a side note I am in love with, Snake Eyes: Declassified, you Joe lovers should get this book.

I enjoy it I never got the old Marvel ones. Because I can't find them also I was in France when they came out. I just can't wait to see what there are going to do with Cobra. I guess we are just going to have to wait.

This one was an alright little sample, intreseted in picking up the next issuse in Jan or whatever it is. but i didnt find myself like Must read GI JOE. or anything.
