HI everyone i want to know what is the acctual meaning of diggnation..
As i'm new to this forum i want to get familiar to this forums as quick as possible so that i can gather many info from this forum.

Well the the "Digg" part of "Diggnation" comes from the site digg.com. "Nation" probably means the nation of "Digg" users who submit stories, in which Kevin and Alex read if it gets popular enough.

Although logan is probably more accurate in his definition of the word, I've always found it more humorous to think of it more along the lines of "damnation."
Like there is something bad, or shameful, in watching two dudes get drunk every week. :D

hmm i'm not sure the question was completely answered, but i'm guessing Digg comes from Dig as in "can you dig it?", "i really dig this" etc with an extra 'g' on the end for distinction, and because the domain name was available.
Also the fact the stories found by social book-markers need to be found by 'digging' around on the internet like archaeologists.
The nation would refer to the community of social book-markers or story diggers.

According to Wikipedia's article on Digg, Diggnation was the name that David Prager wanted Digg to be called. However, Kevin Rose wanted a simpler name and stuck with digg because users dig stories and dig.com was owned by Disney and thus is why the extra g was added. Diggnation was later chosen as the name of the Digg Podcast.
