"Web Drifter" was mega popular. I bet Martin can produce the show himself and get it distributed easy.

It was tv quality, honestly.

Good program.

Funding shows like this is hard :/

It's not like he needs a pilot. He needs money to eat, money for gas, time, a camera and Hippie Glen.

Is this confirmed?

No, but since Marty isn't here anymore ...

Even if new episodes exist (but I highly doubt it), it wouldn't be fair to release them.

I'm not sure if 'fair' comes into it. If Revision3 paid for him to go out and film the show on their time with their equipment and then have it edited by their editor it seems perfectly acceptable to air the show to me. But this is assuming that the show is actually sitting there waiting to be aired.

Maybe I'm being clingy, but the fact that this isn't in Archived Shows makes me think there might be something more here.

There is a 50/50 chance of it airing imo but it all depends on...
1) Have the episodes been made?
2) What deal did Martin have re: Web Drifter? He may have sold the rights to the series and therefore Rev3 owns it to do as they wish?

Neither is popSiren or Internet Superstar...

But the Rev3 Gazette is and it hasn't had anything official said about it yet

I hope big Jim or someone comes out and clears the air regarding all this shit.

Ditto. I'm really hoping that this gets cleared up and we find out whether or not there's any WebDrifter left for us to watch.

If not, then I hope Martin DOES make this on his own. I just hope there isn't any rights held by Rev3 that keep Martin from doing it.

It doesn't make sense for Revision3 to hold onto the property. It's not like that could make them without Marty. Best case scenario, Marty shoots and produces "Webdrifter: Season 2" independently, in exchange Revision3 distributes the show.

True, but I don't know what kind of property rights Rev3 has over it. I'm looking at it from a musician's standpoint...once you record something with a record label, it becomes their property. If you leave that label, the other label that acquires you has to get the rights to that property. If they don't, technically, you can't even play those songs out.

A record company makes most of it's money from an existing library. Indeed, there is an entire industry of creating a cash stream from licensing old recordings. That means it makes sense to keep firm control on a property.

On the other hand, if Marty can independently produce "Webdrifter" and distribute them on Revision3, everybody wins. Revision3 makes money off the property and it creates interest the first season library. If Marty wants to produce web drifter on his own nickel, there is no loss from allowing him to do so. The trouble will come when Marty wants to produce "Webdrifter II" for another company becuase Revision3 probably owns the concept.

However, Revision3 isn't a souless media machine. My guess is that people in charge like Jim, Jay Adelsten and Prager arn't such big jerks that they would keep Marty from producing more "Weddrifter" either indepedently or with another company. They just don't strike me as those kind of people.

I completely agree with your comments Masherscf. It seems to me that Martin, Sarah and the rest of the gang were let go with great sadness. Revision3 has been known to advertise other podcasts and websites in the past, they really aren't the type of company to go "mine mine mine hands off!"

Actually Jim Loudmouth said that The Rev3 Gazette was toast. But said that if there ever was something gazette worthy they would produce another. He has a post somewhere stating that it was sad to kill but they have too much stuff to produce that costs a lot and didn't have enough time or money or content to warrant producing shows regularly. So he did kinda kill the gaz.

If they would have said hey. We are going to shitcan marty from all his current things, and gave the option for web drifter to come back IF.....and only IF the fan base would donate again.... I would do it.

I would pay X amount of dollars each month to get the exclusive members only content. Like they kinda promised back in the day...but never really got around to much extra content that they cut in the editing room....that didn't already get put in the shows. I would pay the money like a lot of people would I am sure, to see it.

I donated before and now that they have a million fans compared to back then, I am sure most of the same people would still donate, plus all the newcomers. Especially for content like Web Drifter.

iSuperstar is like Photoshop Elements compared to Web Drifter and Photoshop pro +++

He got down and dirty with the dudes behind the leather.

iSuperstar has skyped in mild freaks. Nothing quite like Leather Oaks or Goatse.

I would pay for content. I don't know what they charge for sponsor spots....but if everyone paid 10 a month and say there is 1000 people who donate. That is 10,000 bones. Plus you throw in SOME sponsors....you could probably pay for it.

I am not a business major. I am just a really disappointed longtime fan from the get go. I have donated in the past and watched through the start through all the ugliness and all that. And to see some of the old hats get tossed to the gutter like that pisses me off.
