What's the best job that you can do working at home with basic computer skills and time? I'm starting from nothing here and only have a few hours a day so does anyone have any suggestions.

Creative writing. Blogging.
Software design, patches.
Graphic art, digital design.
Day trading, stock market.
Digital tourism, travel agent.
...
...and I have about a hundred more.
It depends on how talented you are
and how disciplined from working at
home. A lot of people can't do it, and
have tried repeatedly.

Cold calling.
Hmm ... maybe not. That job is going to be flooded on Wednesday.

You could do website design. There are still a lot of businesses without a web presence. It's nice for a business to have even a simple page with business hours, info., and phone #'s on it. If nothing else, it lets their customers know that they are a sophiscated business and not old fashioned. You can make $200 or more for a website that takes an hour to make on MS Front Page and charge for revisions.
Website design is both an art and a science and is real fun. You have to pick out complementary colors and arrange the elements nicely.

Nicely put, and it's an excellent way to make a quick buck too...

Yeah I used to be pretty good with HTML a while back so it would be easy to pick up on but I find it hard to make the homepage look good to other people because I am colorblind.

Evil Mastermind. . ... might require more than a few hours a day though.

You don't even really need to know HTML if you have something like Microsoft Front Page. It's a WYSIWYG package. For simple pages, it's sufficient. As for colors, you can just ask the client what colors they want.
