Dpreview is a good site. I recommend Nikon and Canon only because good lenses are easier to find. But, WTF would you want a red camera?

Well, red will mark you as a poser from a mile away IMHO.
Here are my 2-cents. This Panasonic camera may have competitive features with Nikon and Canon consumer models of the same price point. But, someday you'll want a professional grade DSLR. Right now Nikon and Canon professional grade DSLRs are unmatched. The body you buy is not as important as the line of lenses you buy into. With a DSLR, glass is everything. Canon, Sony, Sigma and Minolta glass are proven. Who is going to make Panasonic glass?
If you start collecting lenses for this Panasonic body, it will be much more expensive to upgrade to a Nikon or Canon body later because you also have to replace all the lenses as well. However, if you buy a Canon or Nikon body now, you can begin to acquire lenses that you'll keep your entire life even if you upgrade bodies later.
This Panasonic camera is designed for entry level DSLR users that are confused with numbers and lists of features and don't know about lenses and are tunneling on the body itself.
If you never plan to buy another camera, this Panasonic camera is fine. However, if you imagine a career in photography or even just a serious hobby, you'll need a professional grade DSLR...that mean a Canon or a Nikon.

Don't worry I am 99% sure I will get a Nikon.
Just wondering anyone out in the camera field or review of stuff has got to see it in action or what.

When I do get that Nikon should be proud of yourself since your advice is the major factor in the reasons for going with the brand.
