i cant remember what movie this is, can anyone help?

i kno this is a longshot, but i was just wonderin, i saw a movie like 10 years ago(i was like 12) on tv(hbo, cinemax, showtime...one a those), and i cant remember what it was...perhaps one of yall could tell me...

scene - a 9yr(ish) old boy was puttin on a magic show, had a girl friend/sister?(same age) "assist" with the "saw a women in half" trick. he didnt kno anything about magic, he was ignorant, so he was usin a real saw, a regular box, and she was layin in there, head out one side, legs out the other, and he started to do it, and was actually cutting her in half, she started sreaming and squirming, and everyone thought it was part of the act until blood dripped from the box. then panic ensued...

No, I remember a movie like this, too. Although, I remember a couple kids doing this trick, and it was BRUTALLY bloody. But they were still faking it. May be a different movie, I dont know.

Isn't there also a scene like this in love potion no. 9 where the kid is doing the trick and the girl starts screaming like a banshee causing the father to run over and open to case real quick to find that she was just acting? Or am I thinking of another movie completely, the scene in my head feels very late 80's early 90's.

yeah i agree it has variations all over different movies, but i can almost picture exactly the scene first described. isn't the final shot from the back of the little boy as the crowd goes crazy?

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang had it except no blood. The girl screamed like hell and when they opened the box she was fine and said "I'm going to be an actress". Any more details on the movie, names, stars, setting, nudity :)

yeah, that's what I was going to say... perhaps the little girl in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang saw the other movie and to her faking being sawed in half was acting :)

I'm not really sure if this is it, because technically I've never seen this one all the way through, but it sounds like it could be Blood Sucking Freaks, which came out around that time. It's a troma film, and it's on that I'm embarassed to say my dad owns. This film's pretty much about a guy puts on actually kills women on stage, while the audience believes it to be fake. I had to stop watching because it was so bad, but this definitely sounds like it could be out of that film.
