Daily Thumbnails

On the homepage where you have thumbnails for the daily episodes I sometimes mistakenly think I've already watched one because you use the same icon.

Would it be possible to use a frame of the actual video so we can get a proper idea about what the episode was about?

We used to, actually - we stopped doing that in May because done that way, you cant really tell anything about the tip, and people wanted an easier way to tell if a tip was relevant to them - ie, whether it's OS X or Windows, etc.

It's not a problem and if others find it easier this way then that's all good, I'll just pay extra attention to the titles :cool:

Edit: 2nd idea, possibly have the date overlapping that logo?

Best of both worlds. Twice as useful as the current solution and the previous (the one I preferred).

Hmm on second thoughts it wouldn't work on the homepage (unless that was regigged). Actually, why is the homepage still like that for only 1 daily show, there must be a more elegent way to do it?

In the meantime, how about favicon style icons in the right corner?

Hmmm... I'm not promising anything, but I'll see if Roger and I can come up with something that works and is a bit more distinctive day to day...
