This would be so awesome. Sam Raimi is planning on doing a movie with The Shadow and Doc Savage: http://movies.ign.com/articles/749/749557p1.html
Or are they separate projects? http://www.aintitcool.com/node/30905
Doesn't matter. I am excited either way.

I've no idea who Doc Savage is but I'm excited about the idea of Raimi making The Shadow. If he insists on making superhero movies for the rest of his career at least he can flex some scary Evil Dead-ness in this one. It's been at least five years since I saw the Alec Baldwin one but I remember it being pretty awesome. Baldwin was one creepy son of a *****. I'll have to dig up a DVD from somewhere.

Just your average man trained from birth to know all kinds of weapons, martial arts, and espionage: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doc_savage

Raimi did Darkman because he was passed up for the original version of The Shadow. This movie will be his dream come true.

Doc Savage is also the main inspiration for Alan Moores Tom Strong.
