I'm thinking of buying the Katana phone from Sanyo. Does anyone else have one? How's the sound and reception quality? What about the bluetooth features... will dialup networking (#777 on Sprint's Vision service) work over bluetooth or will I have to get a cable?

I have had a Katana since it first came out (pure coincidence, my 2 year contract ran out the same week the Katana debuted). Overall it's a solid phone and great alternative to the far overdone Razr.

Rarely do I have any dropped calls due to the phone, only drops when in low signal areas. The picture quality is pretty damn good too (here's some pics off my phone (http://picasaweb.google.com/saltsweatsugar/Katana)). The screen is very sexy too, but since it has that glossy kind of covering on it, fingerprints and "ear smudge" picks up on it quick.

I don't have many bad things to say about it. If you know how to make your own ringtones, custom ringers play really quietly even on on the loudest setting. There's more comprehensive and detailed reviews on sprintusers.com, I really do suggest their forums for anything Sprint related. Good luck!
