We've all seen them in radioshack (http://www.radioshack.com/home/index.jsp) and on sale at walmart (http://www.walmart.com/electronics) but have you ever
dreamt of building a larger one that could transmit the rockin' tunes from your
iPod to every car at the party? How about an FM transmitter that could turn
any device in your house, to be broadcast through your home stereo system.

This thread is for posting ideas, and best gadgets for transmitting
on the FM band, signals from mobile sources and the like, and even how
to build linear amplifiers for use with other applications... e.g., Pirate_radio (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pirate_radio)

(One of the first things I did with this device was to hook it to the television
in my bedroom, so that I could listen to the audio on my zune (http://www.zune.net/en-US/) while my lady
was quietly sleeping. The other was in the workout room so that my friends
could listen to what I had on my iPod through their zune while lifting weights)

You can buy 5 to 25 Watt FM transmitters from China (ebay) fairly cheaply no questions asked, their even sell you 50Watt to 600Watt ones for a bit more.
