Ok.

Some info:
Motherboard: Asus P5E3 Deluxe
Graphicscard: Asus HD4870 x2 2GB GDDR5
CPU: Intel Quad2 Core, 2.2 Ghz
RAM: 2GB DDR3 1800Mhz
PSU: 700W CoolMaster
HDD: 200GB WD, 320GB WD, 500GB WD. (all sata)
CD-ROM: None
Floppy: None

I'm having a bit of a mid life crisis at the age of 21.
My PC freezes completely for no given reason on very odd occasions.

First time it happned, i tried installing world of warcraft from a CD.
Now at first i thought DANG, my HDD is broaken *weep*.
So i stress-tested it in Linux, didn't give much from that.

Keep on installing wow and i actually managed to do so.
But as soon as i tried installing Wrath of the lich king (expansion for those who don't know), same thing again.

Damn i thought!
So i stress-tested the CPU and the RAM. Same thing there, prime and other tests ran for about 9h before i gave up ._.

So i thought, Waait a min! Gotta be the GFX card right?
So after a day or three i managed to pull though on the installation (don't ask how). And fired up WoW with the maximum settings possible in the game.
Played for about 2h non stop no rest. And nothing happned.
Then i took a break cause i'm not that much of a gamer.
Then i came back after 2-3h. And played for about 10-15min and then total freeze!

Today i played for roughly 20min and 3 freezes occured.
Left the PC on idle while being at worked and it freezed.
Installing firefox addons and it freezes right away some times.

Changed the Motherboard twice, gfx card twice, HDD.. well played around with them a bit but nothing major.

Sounds like it's over heating.

Sounds like it's over heating.

The CPU or the GPU?
Cause i successfully reduced the standard ATi core temp from 60/84 to 35-40.

The CPU can be around 40 celcious when it freezes and that shouldn't happen? :P
Using the stock Intel Cooler for the CPU, got a Zalman monster fan but cba to put it on since it needs to be modded before i can put it on :/

4870's and core 2's aren't exactly known for overheating at stock speeds, and especially not at lower than stock. The erratic nature of the freezes sounds more like a short in the mobo or PSU. Your best bet is to try the GPU in a different computer, and if that works, try the CPU [if possible]. If you don't have access to a second machine, then the best you can do is just look for commonalities between each time it freezes or RMA random parts til it starts working.

I don't suppose you've checked the voltages coming out of that power supply?

The voltages are ok.
The CPU was kinda tricky to monitor cause it's a automated regulated input to it. Not sure if it's the new ECPU from Intel or if it's the Motherboard trying to save power.

But one thing i did notice was that every time, no matter after how long or when.. But each time i try to transfer a file over windows network (just the LAN), it freezes. Doesn't take more then a couple of seconds.

Broaken integrated LAN?
It's a "Marvell Yuukon 88E8056 PCI-Express" integrated.

have you tried running chkdsk or anything like that to see if you have bad data? that would explain the problem not repeating on linux, which is much less likely to get corrupted data.
