Will "Windows Steady State" become part of a suite of software known as the "Gatekeeper" aka "Gateskeeper"
as popularized by the movie "The Net"?

I don't believe so computoman, my impressions using the utility is that it's meant for those who don't have a full on IT staff, or the infrastructure required to lock down machines via things like GPO's or the like.

As you could see, it's a very nice utility that's easy enough for pretty much anyone to understand.

DeepFreeze is another solution which seems more robust. It also makes a system completely 'unfuckupable'. if the system gets totally messed up with any thing, even one of those trojans that holds the computer hostage. Restarting the computer using the power button on the front of the computer will fix every thing.
